Have you always wanted to be a part of Hollywood's biggest night? Did you know The Oscars (AKA The Academy Awards) offers 700 bleacher seats to fans each year? Also check out our tips on all the Pre-Oscar Parties and Events!
The Oscar Fan experience is the ultimate event for movie buffs, as winners get to sit along side and watch A-list celebrities like Angelina Jolie and George Clooney walk the 500 foot long red carpet. Besides seeing the hottest stars up close, winners have the opportunity to watch the Oscars at a theatre closeby, and go home with a fan gift bag. (Winners must provide their own transportation and lodging).
In previous years, The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts And Sciences, set up a lottery system. Fans would fill out forms between September and November and random winners were drawn. However, for the 2014 show, that all changed. Instead of holding a lottery, the Academy Awards harnessed the power of social media to find The Oscar's biggest fans. During "Fan Appreciation Week" in early December the fans who actively engaged them by commenting, liking and sharing their posts were offered tickets.
You should sign up here to receive email announcements from the Academy. Also be sure to follow Average Socialite on Facebook and Twitter so we can let you know when the lottery begins...
The 2017 Academy Awards will be held in Los Angeles on February 26, 2016. Tune in to abc on February 26, 2015 at 7PM ET.
