Deets: The 6th Annual GLIDE Legacy Gala is a formal affair (black tie optional) that welcomes 1,000+ guests to mix and mingle, enjoy tasty bites from local restaurants, sip cocktails and dance the night away. The event celebrates the organization's incredible legacy of supporting the San Francisco community for more than 50 years. All proceeds benefit GLIDE programs.

Throughout the evening, enjoy musical performances from the internationally renowned GLIDE Ensemble and the Change Band under the musical direction of John F. Turk, Jr., beats from DJ KingMost and time to honor three luminaries including Kristi Yamaguchi and Chip Conley for their social impact on the San Francisco community and their commitment to GLIDE. Come celebrate one of San Francisco's most beloved and iconic organizations and learn how GLIDE is making an impact.

Kristi Yamaguchi, 2015 Janice Mirikitani Legacy Award Winner
Both on and off the ice, Kristi Yamaguchi has been an inspiration to millions of fans around the world for her athletic achievements and continually giving back to the community. As an athlete, artist, author, wife, mother and philanthropist, Kristi embodies the word champion. Her motto is "Always Dream," and Kristi's accomplishments prove that dreams can come true with hard work and dedication. Following her victory at the 1992 Winter Olympics, Kristi founded the Always Dream Foundation to support the lives of children through educational and recreational initiatives. For almost 20 years, Kristi has championed the Always Dream Foundation, continuing to inspire children and supporting the local community. Kristi Yamaguchi's victory on the sixth season of ABC's Dancing with the Stars (the first woman since season one to claim the trophy) is another achievement in a career marked with golden success.

Chip Conley, 2015 Cecil Williams Legacy Award Winner
The founder and former CEO of Joie de Vivre Hospitality, Chip Conley began reinventing hotels in San Francisco at age 26. His first — the Tenderloin’s iconic Phoenix Hotel — turned into the 2nd largest boutique hotel brand in America. The author of four books, including PEAK and The New York Times bestseller, EMOTIONAL EQUATIONS, Chip shares his theories on transformation and meaning with audiences around the world. In 2013, he launched Fest300 — connecting his passion for travel, culture, and the world’s best festivals — and he joined Airbnb as Head of Global Hospitality & Strategy where he's teaching his methods to hundreds of thousands of hosts in nearly 200 countries. Chip received his BA and MBA from Stanford University, and holds an honorary doctorate in psychology from Saybrook University. A former longtime board member at GLIDE, he currently serves on the boards of Youth Speaks, Esalen Institute and the Burning Man Project. www.chipconley.com
