Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort

Eerie encounters and fiendish fun await guests at both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park as favorite experiences are transformed into dreadful delights. With seasonal attraction overlays, Halloween-themed décor and food and beverage offerings, plus encounters with dastardly Disney villains, happy haunts will materialize around every corner.

New this year is the popular character Vampirina, from the Disney Junior hit series for kids and families, “Vampirina.” Also known as “Vee,” Vampirina arrives at Disneyland Resort for the first time ever, just in time for the Halloween season. Guests will have the opportunity to meet Vampirina at Disney California Adventure Park starting September 7. She will also make a special appearance during the “Frightfully Fun Parade” at Mickey’s Halloween Party.

The guest-favorite Mickey’s Halloween Party* returns with select nights of after-hours fun. This separate-ticket event features some exclusive entertainment, Disney characters in their Halloween attire, trick or treating at locations throughout Disneyland Park and a chance for the entire family to visit the parks after hours in costumes.

2018 Nights of the Jack

Nights Of The Jack will be more than your traditional Halloween attraction. Vast grounds of intricately hand-carved and illuminated pumpkins will welcome visitors as they make their way through the half-mile trail around the ranch and will be open to enchant Los Angeles residents and tourists alike all month long. Over 20 themed installations will be showcased thanks to thousands of hand-carving hours; including, a Land of Dinosaurs that will spotlight a massive Brontosaurus, an enormous T-Rex, a Triceratops that you won’t want to miss, and more. Carrera De Los Muertos 5K Run of the Dead

Carrera de los Muertos is a vibrant 5k run that honors Day of the Dead. Family and friends gather together to remember loved ones that have passed in this rich cultural tradition. The course runs through lower Chinatown and then takes a left turn onto Alameda Street towards Los Angeles State Historic Park. Traditions include face painting to resemble skulls, decorating altars with bright orange marigold flowers, candles, photos and other memorabilia. There will be an official Runners Altar for participants to decorate and a post race, finish line festival honoring art, music and community.

Thrill to the tales of Edgar Allan Poe and Edward Gorey in an evening of chilling drama presented by the actors of the Guild of St. George.
