The Women in the World Summit brings together women leaders, activists, artists, CEOs, peacemakers, entrepreneurs, trailblazers, and firebrand dissidents from around the world who have saved or enriched lives and shattered glass ceilings in every sector. The first Summit was launched in New York City in 2010 and has since expanded to London and New Delhi, with smaller salons across the United States in Chicago, Los Angeles, Texas, San Francisco and Washington, DC.

"With the world in turmoil the need for women's voices and perspectives has never been more important. For the seventh year, women on the front lines of news will convene in New York to set the agenda for progress and change in the year ahead,” said Tina Brown, CEO and Founder of Women in the World.

The three-day Women in the World Summit, held at New York City’s Lincoln Center, presents powerful new female role models whose personal stories illuminate the most pressing international issues. They range from CEOs and world leaders to artists, activists, peacemakers, and firebrand dissidents. The Summit’s vivid journalistic narratives, high-impact video, and fast-paced staging have made it the premier platform to showcase women of impact. Increasingly, Women in the World also includes the participation, onstage and in the audience, of men who champion women
