Deets: Brooklyn’s Four & Twenty Blackbirds pie bakery will be arriving in LA for one weekend only – August 5th and 6th. Following a fruitful collaboration last year between the pie baking sister co-owners Melissa and Emily Elsen and Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams founder Jeni Britton Bauer, Four & Twenty Blackbirds will be back in LA, this time on the west side. Customers at Jeni’s Venice shop will be able to order pies by the slice or whole, served a la mode with a scoop of ice cream or enjoyed at home with pints to go. Two new pie flavors created for the LA collaboration, sunny Shaker Citrus and seasonal Stone Fruit Granola, will be served alongside Four & Twenty Blackbirds’ signatures Salty Honey and Matcha Custard.

The collaboration is part of Jeni’s ongoing effort to give like-minded good food producers a chance to showcase their work in a new setting. In April of 2016, the first Jeni’s x Four & Twenty Blackbirds pop-up brought their pies to Jeni’s Los Feliz location. The Elsens are thrilled to work with the Jeni’s team again to bring their pies, normally only available in New York, to the heart of Venice beach for one weekend only.

Melissa Elsen and Emily Elsen are the sister duo behind the wildly popular Brooklyn pie company Four & Twenty Blackbirds.
