Deets: As we wrap up a successful and exciting Breast Cancer Awareness Month, filled with partnerships, events, and initiatives, the Tigerlily Foundation is thrilled to celebrate their 10th Annual EmPOWER Ball on November 11, 2016. This highly anticipated fundraising event honors breast cancer survivors and advocates that are making a difference in the community. Guests will enjoy a cocktail hour, a silent auction, seated dinner, an awards presentation, dancing, and live entertainment. This year’s event will be hosted by Dr. Katy Nelson of WJLA ABC 7’s The Pet Show and Ryan Rauner of The Rauner Group. Honorees at this year’s event include individuals that have made significant contributions to breast cancer and to the Tigerlily Foundation.

About EmPOWER Ball
This event generates funds that enable Tigerlily Foundation to provide education, peer support, meals, Hope Bags, New You Journals, New Normal kits, Power Chats, Pink Power Alerts, survivorship and empowerment programs, and financial assistance. The funds raised also enable travel grants to young women living with metastatic breast cancer and working with a travel partner. Tigerlily Foundation also educates physicians and the community about breast health intending to elevate the quality of health care services rendered to young women.
About Tigerlily Foundation
Tigerlily Foundation is one of the only organizations in the nation providing assistance to young women (15-45) before, during and after breast cancer. Founder Maimah Karmo works in legislation and community to ensure proper research and funding is being allocated to breast cancer initiatives. More than 18,000 young women are diagnosed with breast cancer annually, and approximately ten percent die of the disease. Tigerlily Foundation exists to decrease this disparity.
