As one of the biggest cultural, artistic, and musical hubs in the entire world, New York City and its surrounding areas are home to some of the biggest music festivals in the country. Below is a list of some of the coolest ones happening in the summer and fall!  

THE GOVERNORS BALL

One of the biggest festivals in the city is back this year at Citi Field on June 10th-12th. The three day festival features some of the biggest names in music, from headliners Kid Cudi, Halsey, and J. Cole and others such as Jack Harlow, Glass Animals, Migos, Flume and more! HOT 97 SUMMER JAM 2022

This year’s festival, taking place on June 2th at MetLife Stadium, features a primarily hip-hop, rap, and r&b lineup. With artists like Lil Baby, Young Thug, Gunna, City Girls, Roddy Rich, and more talented artists, it’s for sure an event you won’t want to miss. BAREFOOT COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL

Head to Wildwood, New Jersey on June 16th-19th to listen to some country music! Grab your cowboy boots and get ready to dance to a lineup featuring some of the biggest names in country music, such as Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Cole Swindell, and more. Calling all blues, rock and country music fans! The Outlaw Music Festival is making stops in New York and New Jersey this summer. The lineup features Grammy-Winning artists such Willie Nelson, Chris Stapleton, Larkin Poe, and more. Information and tickets can be found here.

summerstage

One of the best parts about summers in NYC is coming back from June to October! Featuring opera singers from The Metropolitan Opera, to award winning instrumentalists, to artists such as Misterwives, Modest Mouse, and more, Summerstage has concerts from every music fan. Rock the bells

Taking place on August 6th in Queens, NY, Rock The Bells Festival celebrates the anniversary of hip-hop. Founded and curated by LL COOL J, the lineup features legendary artists such as Ice Cube, Lil Kim, Fat Joe & Remy Ma, and more! More information and tickets can be found here

TIDALWAVE MUSIC FESTIVAL 2022

Time to lace up the cowboy boots again - this time in Atlantic City, New Jersey on August 12th-14th for the TidalWave Music Festival. Featuring some of the biggest names in country music, such as Luke Bryan, Morgan Wallen, Chase Rice, and more, the festival is sure to be a good one. More information can be found here

Electric zoo

Taking place this Labor Day weekend on Randall’s Island Park, Electric Zoo is back with some of the biggest artists in bass, techno, and electronic music! The festival features an electronic playground and elaborate displays you won’t want to miss. Information about the festival can be found here

XPoNential Music Festival 2022 

Coming to the Waterfront Music Pavilion and Wiggins Park in Camden, New Jersey on September 16th-18th, the XPoNential Music Festival is back and better than ever. With an ultra talented lineup featuring artists like The War on Drugs, Patti Smith, Tamino, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, and more, make sure you mark your calendars. Sea.Hear.Now Festival 

Who doesn’t want to go to a music festival on the beach? Located in Ashbury Park, New Jersey on September 17th and 18th, get ready for a weekend of good vibes, good music, and surfing. Featuring legendary headliners Stevie Nicks and Green Day, as well as other acts like Gary Clark Jr, Fletcher, Cage The Elephant, The Backseat Lovers, and more, this lineup isn’t one to miss. Frantic City Festival

Taking place on September 24th in Atlantic City, New Jersey, the one day Frantic City Festival is back and featuring some of the most exciting bands in music. With a lineup starring Car Seat Headrest, Snail Mail, Yo La Tengo, and more hosted by actor Fred Amisen, it’s looking like an exciting day. More information can be found here.
