NYC is a hotspot for yearly conventions. No matter what hobby you enjoy, there is something out there for you.  Here are some not to miss this coming Summer and Fall.

BROOKLYN COMIC CON

Love Comic-Con, but can’t wait until the Fall?  Come on down to Brooklyn, where cosplayers, comic artists, food vendors, and more will be showing off their work and crafts!  Watch art be created right in front of you, cheer and jeer at a wrestling match, and even play retro and new video games!

BX-COMIC BOOK SHOW
478 E Tremont Avenue //Bronx // June 11 // Tickets sold online & at the door ($10 per person, kids under 12 free)
The BX-comic book show may be small, but it’s packed full of fun.  With card collecting vendors of all sorts of franchises, funko-pop collectors, and even a cosplay contest with a $75 first place prize, it’s hard not to be entertained at this event.

BRICKFEST LIVE

Love legos? Check out Brickfest Live, a convention that has anything and everything lego related.  Marvel at dozens of beautifully crafted lego sculptures, and get hands on with building your own creation!  People of all ages should check it out.

FLAMECON
811 7th Avenue // Manhattan //August 20-21 // Ticketed
FlameCon is one of the largest LGBT+ focused comic-cons in the world.  Much like other comic conventions, there will be panelists, vendors, as well as exclusive performances and screenings of TV shows and movies centering LGBT+ narratives.  

MAKEUP

Adore makeup and skincare?  Always on the lookout for new products to try?  MakeUp is for you!  With hundreds of brands and lines attending, you’re sure to walk away with a product you’ll love.  And if you’re feeling a little adventurous, stop at one of the many stalls to get a full makeover.

BRAVOCON
445 11th Avenue // Manhattan // October 14-16 // Learn More
If you love all things from the Bravo Channel, this is an event you won’t want to miss. Over 100 “Bravolebrities” are rumored to be attending this year, from series like The Real Housewives and Below Deck.  There will also be live performances, interactive experiences, and never-before-seen content from your favorite Bravo shows.

ANIME NYC
445 11th Avenue // Manhattan// November 18-20 // Badges
This is every anime fan’s dream.  With more artists and exhibitors than ever, there will be hundreds of stalls to purchase merchandise.  There will also be panels from anime voice actors and manga writers on all three days.  And of course, screenings of exclusive episodes of select anime.
