Deets: The New Yorkers For Children (NYFC) Fall Gala is a high-profile annual fundraising event which raises over $1.2 million annually to benefit youth in foster care in New York City. There are close to 12,000 children in foster care in New York City, and NYFC strives to provide youth with the support, guidance, and opportunities that every child deserves. Over the past eighteen years, it is fundraising initiatives like the Fall Gala and local supporters like you that have enabled NYFC to reach youth through scholarships, academic support, tutoring programs, career development, networking opportunities, and the support needed to achieve a lifetime of success. This year they will honor Michael J. Dowling, President and CEO, North Shore-LIJ Health System. North Shore LIJ System has been an incredible supporter of NYFC and children in foster care.
