Deets: DC’s brightest and most talented designers are coming together again to kick off the 2014 Veteran’s Day Weekend by giving back to our nation’s heroes. As a leader in the design industry, IFDA is committed to supporting the furnishings and manufacturing commerce in the DC Metro area, while consistently making strides to give back to the community. This year, the organization has selected Team Red White and Blue (Team RWB) as a beneficiary of this fall’s Masquerade Ball.
This exciting event will raise funds/awareness to the mission and vision of this national non-profit organization, Team RWB, who strives to make a difference in the lives of our veterans. It is their mission to enrich the lives of these real-life heroes by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity. Team RWB is devoted to offering weekly fitness activities, monthly social events, camps and participation in local races, to keep veterans inspired to commit to their own health and fitness.
The Masquerade Ball will be the design event of the fall. Hors d’oeurvres, drinks, dancing, champagne entry, a red carpet, photographers, creative masks, and much more! Prizes for the best mask will be awarded. The representatives from Team RWB will talk about the amazing work that they do.
The Masquerade Ball will be held at the enchanting Capitale on K Street, between 13th and14th. The interior of the space was designed by one of the capital’s most talented artists, Maggie O’Neill. Her inspiration for the whimsical design was “Hogwarts meets Hollywood”.
