Celebration Day and Opening of New Exhibit

Initiate Cleveland Rock Week with a day investigating the history and impact of rock music inside the legendary Rock Hall – FREE OF CHARGE. During Celebration Day, the Rock Hall will present live music, food vendors and special programming that you won’t get on any given day.

Opening of 2015 Hall of Fame Inductee Exhibit

Celebration Day at the Rock Hall gets a little more celebratory with the opening of the 2015 Hall of Fame Inductee exhibit. Get a deep-dive look at this year’s class with historical artifacts, video clips and other memorabilia inside a new section within the main exhibit hall.

Inductee Rock ‘N Blast Fireworks Show 

April 11 | 7pm | Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum
Wrap up Celebration Day at the Rock Hall with a bang. The museum will host a Rock ‘N Blast fireworks show starting at 7pm, which includes a 25-minute show featuring Inductee-inspired music and video synchronized to pyrotechnics.

Rock My Soul Gospel Concert Honoring Andraé Couch 

April 12 | 7:30pm | Playhouse Square | Free with RSVP
Join in as we honor gospel music and the legacy of seven-time Grammy Award-winning Pastor Andraé Crouch during the Rock My Soul Gospel Concert at Playhouse Square. Tribute performers include Marvin Winans, CeCe Winans and Donnie McClurkin. The event is free, but a general admission ticket – reserved in advance – is necessary.

Sonic Session Featuring Foxygen and Alex Cameron 

April 14 | 8pm| Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum | $5.50
Each month, the Rock Hall introduces the world to a series of up-and-coming rock musicians and bands. Appearing during Cleveland Rock Week is an American indie rock duo Foxygen, who is known for their high-energy and captivating performances.

30th Annual Induction Ceremony and Simulcast 

April 18 | 8pm | Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum | $22
The 30th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony returns to Cleveland’s Public Hall. Tickets to the ceremony at Public Hall are sold out, but fans have an opportunity to watch the ceremony live on a giant screen inside the Rock Hall.

Paul McCartney inducted Ringo Starr, Stevie Wonder inducted Bill Withers, Patti Smith inducted Lou Reed, Peter Wolf inducted the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Fall Out Boy inducted Green Day, John Mayer inducted Stevie Ray Vaughan, Steve Cropper inducted the “5” Royales, and Miley Cyrus inducted Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.

Performers included Beck, Dave Grohl, Joe Walsh, Tom Morello, John Legend, Jimmie Vaughan, Gary Clark Jr., Zac Brown, Karen O, Nate Ruess and more.


Herb Ritts: The Rock Portraits
While you’re checking out the Rock Hall, make sure to take a gander at one of the museum’s newer exhibits, Herb Ritts: The Rock Portraits. Opening on March 13, this unique exhibit takes visitors through the work of the late photographer Herb Ritts who is known for his often provocative and anti-glamour style. Many people might remember him from his work on the Vanity Fair photo shoot of k.d. lang and Cindy Crawford, as well as the Chris Isaak music video for “Wicked Game.”

Celebrate Rock Week at The Music Box
One of Cleveland's newest and most popular spots for live music is the Music Box Supper Club, located on the West Bank of the Flats. During Cleveland Rock Week, the venue, which boasts two unique performance spaces, takes rock fans through the history of the genre with an emphasis on bands and songwriters featured inside the walls of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.
