Hot Spot: Liaison Capitol Hill DC's Rooftop Pool & Lounge, DC
Deets: The Liaison Capitol Hill DC is pleased to announce its destination Rooftop Pool & Lounge will open to the public Thursday, May 26, following a month-long redesign and renovation. The newly-updated poolside retreat features a large swimming oasis, a dining area with intimate tables and cozy lounge seating, and strings of lights overhead – creating the perfect atmosphere to unwind while savoring the new menu of craft cocktails and light fare.
"Our exciting new look and feel offer our hotel guests and DC residents a truly unique rooftop experience," said Area General Manager Jeff Brainard. “The Rooftop Pool & Lounge boasts daily programming, morning yoga, weekday happy hour, refreshing cocktails and a fun, warm atmosphere.”
The Programming
Pool day passes are $35, and it is free to enter after 5 p.m. For reserved seating, guests can rent a cabana for the day. Season memberships are also available at $500 for families and $250 for individuals. Additional information can be found at jdvhotels.com/dcrooftop.
Rooftop programming is centered on the passion points of music, social awareness, health, fashion, art, design and cocktail culture, and is as follows:
Daily: Swimming from 8am-5pm
Food & Beverage Service from 11am-11pm
Monday-Friday: Happy Hour from 5-7pm
Poolside Yoga with Embrace Yoga from 7-8am for $13
Tuesday: From 5pm-close on Support a Cause Tuesdays, the Liaison Capitol Hill DC will partner with different non-profits and donate 10-15% of food & beverage sales to the organizations hosted. The partners include DC Central Kitchen, No Kid Hungry and Brainfood. The schedule can be viewed here.
·Wednesday: DC Home Grown Wednesday nights feature a rotating collection of local guest chefs, mixologists, educators, and artists. Upcoming events include Summer Mixology: Rooftop Cocktail Clubwith celebrated mixologists Jo-Jo Valenzuela and Jamie MacBain on June 15 and a pop-up dinner with Chef Matt Baker of Gravitas on June 29.
Thursday: One Love Massive presents DEEP featuring a rotating group of musicians of all genres to bring the rooftop to life.
Friday: DT Nation, a leading influencer of nightlife and urban culture, hosts Friday nights #SUNSET at the Liaison.
Saturday: Art Soiree’s Art Fusion celebrates local talents from 7pm-close all summer long with live music acts and performances, art installations, live painting and video art projections.
Sunday: SiP & DiP DC! returns for its second year. JBC Events will host its SiP & DiP DC pool party on the rooftop from 1pm to 7pm.
The Menu
Art and Soul Executive Chef Douglas Alexander has created a menu of summer classics, including a Six Cheese Toastie on sourdough; Pressed PBM with peanut butter, banana, marshmallow, and honey; Dark Chocolate Pudding with coconut mousse, salted graham crumble, and caramelized bananas; and a selection of ice cream and sorbet to stay cool.
The cocktail menu highlights inventive refreshments, including canned craft beers, rosé and sparkling wines, with sangrias and classic cocktails topping off the menu. The full menu can be viewed here.
