Affair: Gilbert Gottfried's 5th Annual Comedy For A Cause

Deets: Gilbert Gottfried and PS 11 in Chelsea will present “Comedy For A Cause,” at Gotham Comedy Club to raise much-needed funds for the beloved neighborhood school facing deep budget cuts. Featuring performances by world-renowned comics,John Oliver, Bonnie McFarlane, Dan Soder, Mario Cantone, Josh Gondelman, Phoebe Robinson and hosted by Rich Vos, and led by PS 11 parent and comedy legend Gilbert Gottfried.

The curriculum at PS 11 continues to be threatened by budget cuts including Art, Music, Dance, Computers, Math & Literacy Development and Staff Development. State and City budgets are based on minimal standards. All of the school’s important enrichment activities are paid for by the PTA funds. The PS 11 PTA has made it their mission to make up for this shortfall.

Additionally, an online auction is simultaneously taking place (www.charitybuzz.com/support/ps11) featuring once-in-a-lifetime items including Broadway and live performance tickets and celebrity experiences.
