Guests will be allowed access to all four of the connected PUB bars for a cover fee of $10 on Halloween night. (All ticket sale proceeds will be donated to DKMS, an organization fighting blood cancer.) The ticketed passes grant guests two hours inside both PUBs. This event is 21+.

Halloween at Roofers Union

Roofers Union is pouring two outside-of-the-box pumpkin beers and a spooky cocktail on October 31 for Halloween. General Manager and Beer Director Dave Delaplaine will offer Almanac Brewing’s “Pumpkin Pie de Brettaville,” a 7% pumpkin pie sour beer with vanilla bean and notes of fall spice, and Avery Brewing’s “Rumpkin,” a heavy-hitting 17% rum barrel-aged pumpkin strong ale. For guests in the mood for a cocktail, Roofers Union and Jug & Table will also both be serving an eerie blue $9 “Hocus Pocus” cocktail (a White Negroni disguised with butterfly pea flower.) The special Halloween drinks are available a la carte starting at 5pm.

Family Friendly Halloween Party

Friendship Heights neighborhood restaurant Chatter will be hosting a family-friendly Halloween party for the night of Halloween itself on Wednesday, October 31 for families prepping to trick-or-treat as well as guests seeking a relaxed way to celebrate. Families on their way to trick or treat can stop by Chatter for a quick candy fix, as well as for complimentary face painting starting at 5pm to give the perfect finishing touch to outfits. $1 hot cider and cocoa will also be available outside to ward off the fall chill. Adults will be able to enjoy the non-alcoholic hot drinks as well as $5 spiked ciders and cocoas. Face painting and hot drinks will be available on Chatter’s patio starting at 5pm. Tony Kornheiser, one of Chatter’s owners and a sports host on popular ESPN show “Pardon the Interruption,” will make a special appearance in costume as well.

Eat, drink and be scary this Halloween at Gaslight Tavern, which is hosting Nightmare on U Street in partnership with Brixton, Satellite Room, El Rey and American Ice Company. The special holiday bar crawl will feature drink specials at all 5 venues inspired by spooky classics like The Shining, Sleepy Hollow and From Dusk to Dawn. Gaslight Tavern's Sleepy Hollow-inspired drinks include the “Last Ryed” and “The Ichibod.”
