Sam Nazarian’s sbe, the leading lifestyle hospitality group that develops, manages, and operates world-class hotels, restaurants, lounges, and nightclubs, proudly announces the official opening of Casa Dani by Three Michelin-starred Chef Dani García and a newly reimagined Katsuya Century City by Master Sushi Chef Katsuya Uechi, at Westfield Century City (10268 Santa Monica Blvd), starting Thursday, July 25, 2025 with Lunch and Dinner Reservations are available now exclusively through Resy at CasaDaniLA.com and KatsuyaCenturyCity.com.

The two side-by-side restaurants will unite to bring Mediterranean and Japanese cuisines to a flagship culinary epicenter that will play host to a trio of stunning bars, including an open-air Katsuya Beer Garden, an atrium arrival area, and a terrace overlooking the Beverly and Hollywood Hills as well as two incredible breathtaking Katusya and Casa Dani dining rooms. Designed by the acclaimed David Rockwell of Rockwell Group, the impressive 17,000 square foot venue features seating for 400 guests facing the iconic Santa Monica Boulevard.

Casa Dani —meaning “Dani’s House”—invites guests into Chef García’s world of modern Mediterranean cuisine, rooted in Andalusian traditions and celebrated globally with three Michelin stars and a Bib Gourmand honor. As one of Spain’s most celebrated chefs, Garcia’s vibrant, innovative approach offers a journey that begins in the south of Spain and continues across the Mediterranean. Casa Dani is not just a fine dining concept but a showcase of the culture of Spain. Dani Garcia's exceptional culinary style is based on contrasts and tradition; He plays with worldly flavors and cuisines, textures, and even temperatures without losing sight of his Andalusian culinary roots, which are found wall to wall at Casa Dani. The star spotlighted menu features an array of colorful paella offerings such as the Farmers Market Vegetable Paella, Chicken Paella (roasted cornish hen), and the Seafood Paella (saffron, prawns and mussels), in addition to Mediterranean classics that includes, Iberico Ham Croquetas, Fried Calamari, Octopus Carpaccio, and Steak Tartare.  Chef Garcia also showcases his Andulian tuna plates such as the Tuna Porterhouse Carpaccio and the Duo Tartare Akami and O’toro, specialty pastas such as Trofie el Pesto (pistachio pecorino), “La Fiesta Mediterranea” (pacheri, scallops, lobster, blue prawns), and with standout mains, Heirloom Chicken in Adobo, Grilled Sea Bass and Wagyu Flatiron Steak. 

For lunch at Casa Dani, a $39 prix fixe menu will offer up a notable 3 course selection of crowd favorites from starters to mains to dessert which include highlights such as the Chorizo and Aji Emapanadas from TOMA, “The Burger That Made It All Make Sense” (wagyu beef with Chef Dani’s special sauce) and one of three delicious desserts like the Roasted Pineapple (served with passion fruit yogurt). Here, diners can get an immersive flavorful taste of Chef Garcia’s highly demanded standouts. 

Adjacent to Casa Dani, Katsuya Century City reintroduces itself with a new look, menu and evolution. Marking the 4th location in Los Angeles and the 11th globally, Katsuya Century City continues the nearly 20-year tradition of excellence that has brought them international acclaim and reinvents itself for the following 20 years ushering in a new era for the iconic brand. Chef Katsuya Uechi’s refreshed menu fuses traditional Japanese techniques with modern California flavors, while maintaining the innovative spirit that made Katsuya a trailblazer nearly two decades ago.  While Katsuya stays true to their menu classics such as their Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, Baked Crab Handrolls, Miso Cod, Rock Shrimp, Crispy Brussel Sprouts,  and Tomahawk Short Ribs, with specialty rolls, Katsuya, Rock n Roll and The Century, a few of the newest arrivals featured will be the Toro Tartare, King Crab Motoyaki, and A5 Wagyu Tataki.  

Katsuya Century City will also have a Power Lunch Prix Fix Menu, with limited specials ranging from $32 -$45, where guests dining can enjoy the favorite signature items with the ‘Katsuya Sets’ with a choice of the cold or hot package meals, and curated plate items such as Chirashi (Chef’s seasonal sashimi selection with pickles), and the Short Rib Fried Rice (Sugikon, Chives, Egg, Chili Crunch).

Together, Casa Dani and Katsuya Century City will redefine and mark an exciting new chapter in sbe's continued culinary expansion, and a pivotal reimagination of two iconic brands within the Los Angeles' dining scene. Katsuya and Casa Dani is open daily from 11:30AM-3PM for lunch and for dinner from 4:30-10PM.
