Deets: On October 25, Michelin-starred Chef Santiago Lastra will collaborate with actor Will Poulter, Mr. Beef owner Chris Zucchero, and Courtney Storer (co-executive and culinary producer of The Bear) for a one-day-only culinary pop-up at the legendary Mr Beef in River North, Chicago.

Merging the global acclaim of Santiago with the cultural phenomenon of the multi-award-winning American television series The Bear, Will and Santiago will put their own unique spin on the show's iconic Italian beef sandwich at the original location made famous by the series. Guests will have the opportunity to taste a vibrant, Mexican-inspired creation crafted by Santiago and Will.

The exclusive recipe will feature tender, cooked sliced beef tongue paired with caramelised mozzarella, pickled jalapeños, sliced avocado, refried beans, and chopped Mexican chorizo. The result is a flavourful fusion that honours the spirit of Chicago's beloved sandwich while showcasing some of the bold, classic flavours of a cuisine that has shaped Santiago's career as a deeply curious, creative and visionary chef.

Adding a sweet finish to the savoury menu, Pretty Cool Ice Cream have created an exclusive ice cream dessert sandwich specifically for the event, inspired by Santiago Lastra’s recent debut cookbook launch: Mexican Soul. This collaboration brings together a grand finale of creativity to the exciting pop-up.
