@Hirshorn

When: Friday, July 1, 2016 @ 1PM

Hot Spot: Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington, DC

Deets: Chief Curator Stéphane Aquin discusses Yoko Ono's participatory Wish Tree for Washington DC in the Museum's outdoor sculpture garden.

Who You May Spot: Stéphane Aquin

Hint For The Average Socialite: From July 1 through Labor Day, visitors to the sculpture garden are invited to tie written wishes to branches of Ono's Wish Tree, part of a larger global art project.

A summer favorite at Hirshhorn, the tree connects audiences as they reflect on hopes for the future. Hirshhorn staff collect the wishes throughout the summer and send them to Ono's Imagine Peace Tower in Reykjavik, Iceland, where wishes from the artist's tress around the world are brought together.
