Hey Average Socialites! If your outdoor NYC plans get washed away by a rainy day, don’t fret! Below is a list of fun filled activities you can do indoors.

Color Factory
251 Spring St / Manhattan / Video
If you love all things bright and beautiful, the color factory is for you!  Each room is filled with vibrant colors (hence the name), and they range from fun, selfie-worthy installations to an immersive experience you’ll never want to end.

Barcade
388 Union Ave / Brooklyn
Feeling nostalgic for a classic arcade?  Fear not, for the barcade has your back!  Unlike most modern arcades, they still use tokens as their main currency and only have pinball machines and old school arcade games.  And when you’re done, belly up to the bar and grab yourself some drinks and snacks!

Paley Center for Media
25 W 52nd St / NYC
The Paley center is the place you want to go if you’re a fan of all things television, movies, and more.  They have an archive spanning decades, filled with almost any piece of digital media you could ask for.  And in addition, they host several events throughout the year with all sorts of different themes.

Sri Lankan Art and Cultural Museum
61 Canal St / Staten Island
Making its claim to fame as the first museum dedicated to Sri Lankan culture, this museum is perfect for those who want to learn about a culture outside their own.  Though it’s much smaller compared to other museums, the space is chock full of items and decorations straight from Sri Lanka.

Brooklyn Boulders
23-10 41st Ave / Queens
In need of a different type of a workout session?  Rock climbing might be the thing for you!  Brooklyn Boulders has classes for any and all skill levels, especially for those who are new to rock climbing and bouldering.  And after you work your butt off, relax in the complimentary sauna.

QED Astoria
27-16 23rd Avenue / Queens
As a self proclaimed “after school space for grownups”, QED is perfect for those who want a multitude of options.  The website has a calendar full of events ranging from improv shows to paint and sips with live models.

City Island Nautical Museum
190 Fordham Street / City Island
A rainy day is always a good chance to learn about something new, and this museum full of pictures and artifacts from this boating town’s early days is perfect.  Take a step back in time when City island was its own little nation and an epicenter of the sailing industry.

Beat the Bomb
255 Water St / Brooklyn / Video
If you love escape rooms, but want to take it up a level, Beat the Bomb is perfect for you and your friends.  Enjoy 5 different puzzle activities to solve with your friends before being blasted by the paint bomb.  Don’t worry, you’re given a hazmat suit and goggles so you’re not leaving covered in paint.
