Hey Average Socialites!  Looking for a little something different to do with your friends?  Want to improve your art skills for fun, or even try something new?  Below is a list of artsy activities you can do right now!

Go Tufting
47-61 Pearson Pl, Suite 302 / Long Island City
Make an original piece from start to finish. Tufting turns yarn and fabric into rugs, coasters, mirrors, and anything else your heart desires! Tufting projects are typically completed in four steps: tufting, gluing, trimming and backing. At the end of our workshop, you’ll go home with your own finished piece!

SMB Studio Arts
3777 Richmond Ave / Staten Island
Whether you want to let your little one express their creative side, or you want to refine your own skills, SMB Studio Arts has you covered.  As of right now, the studio offers sketching and painting classes for adults, and no matter what, you’ll leave with something incredible.

Chambers Pottery
153 Chambers St / Manhattan
The urge to sit down on a pottery wheel and attempt to create is one that many can relate to.  And whether you’re just starting out or a seasoned pro, Chambers will help you get set up and started right away.

Bay Ridge Art Space
Based in Brooklyn, this studio site offers live, private lessons online.  You’ll be able to master your craft, whether it be sketching, oil painting, or portfolio preparation, from the comfort of your own home.

Painting Lounge
40 W 38th St / Manhattan
This painting lounge is much more focused on beginners, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun!  All art supplies and canvases are provided, you just need to bring yourself.  Come alone, or bring your closest friends to create masterpieces.

Brooklyn Glass
142 13th St / Brooklyn
Glassblowing is a hot subject right now, and now is a perfect time to get started!  They offer 8 week intensive courses for beginners, which is the perfect amount of time to learn this delicate art.  But if you already know your stuff, they do have some areas that are open to the public.

Painting With A Twist
97-14 Metropolitan Ave / Queens
Sip n’ paints are growing in popularity as a unique date night and girls night activity. You supply the drinks, and they’ll supply the paint.  This company makes it clear that it’s not about your skill, but more about making memories that’ll last a lifetime.

Bronx Sip N Paint
212 Willis Ave / Bronx
Chat with your friends and unwind at these low key paint n sip events!  Not only will you be able to take home a wonderfully painted piece created by yourself, but you can also take a look at the in house collection of artwork.

Clayhouse Brooklyn
229 Smith St / Brooklyn
Want to take home something that’s not just a painting?  Clayhouse Brooklyn is for you!  Whether you want to sign up for an intense 8 week training course that’ll teach you the ins and outs of working with clay, or the single session on Saturdays where you get the hang of a pottery wheel, you’ll be throwing down clay in no time.
