A total solar eclipse will take place at the Moon's ascending node on Monday, April 8, 2024, visible across North America and dubbed the Great North American Eclipse by some of the media. The eclipse will begin around 2PM. For New York City, we’ll be able to see the Moon cover up to 90 percent of the Sun at 3:25PM, per the American Museum of Natural History.
