Highlights from the event included:

· Families, including those of James Van Der Beek and Perez Hilton, enjoyed magic shows from members of the famous Magic Castle that left children in awe and with smiles on their faces.

· Actress Asia Monet Ray got up close and personal at the special educational petting zoo that included meet-and-greets with crawly tarantulas and a very friendly capuchin monkey that was more than happy to climb atop children’s heads.

· A pop-up skate park on site allowed kids to try out their skills while educating them about safety and helmet importance when skateboarding and bike riding.

· An oversized kitchen walkthrough activation gave parents a child’s perspective when they wander into the kitchen and face potential dangers.

About Safe Kids Worldwide
Safe Kids Worldwide is a nonprofit organization working to protect kids on the road, at home and at play. Preventable injuries are the number one cause of death for children in the United States. Throughout the world, almost one million children die of an injury each year, and almost every one of these tragedies is preventable. Safe Kids works with an extensive network of more than 400 coalitions in the U.S. and with partners in more than 30 countries to reduce traffic injuries, drownings, falls, burns, poisonings and more. Since 1988, when Safe Kids was founded by Dr. Marty Eichelberger of the Children's National Health System with support from founding sponsor, Johnson & Johnson, Safe Kids has helped reduce the U.S. childhood death rate from unintentional injury by 60 percent. Working together, we can do much more to protect kids. Join our effort at safekids.org.
