WHAT TO STOCK UP ON BEFORE TARIFFS TAKE EFFECT

On April 2, President Donald Trump announced broad tariffs aimed at reducing trade deficits with other countries. Although these tariffs are currently under a 90-day suspension set to expire on July 9, tariffs on Chinese imports remain in place. Depending on the product, these tariffs can be as high as 245%.

To avoid potential price increases from tariffs, consider stocking up on imported goods such as electronics (smartphones, TVs, laptops), clothing, footwear, and certain food items like avocados and nuts. Focus on products you buy regularly and that rely heavily on imports. Rather than panic buying, make thoughtful, timely purchases to take advantage of current prices.
