Deets: The Southampton History Museum is proud to announce our 11th Annual "An Insider’s View" House Tour, which offers a rare opportunity to pass behind the hedges and through the doors of some of the most beautiful and historically important homes in Southampton. A highlight of the summer season, the tour attracts out-of-towners as well as local residents who come to admire and draw inspiration from the interiors and gardens of residences ranging from stylish beach cottages to grand estates. Funds raised by the tour support the Museum’s mission to “preserve and promote the history and culture of Southampton” through a diverse range of educational classes and lectures, artistic exhibitions, and cultural events for all ages held at the Museum properties. No other cultural institution in Southampton plays such a large role in the teaching and preservation of our local history.
