Deets: On Thursday, August 28, FreshDirect on Main (FreshDirect's first IRL store in Southampton) hosts Utopia Bagels, one of NYC’s best bagel shops, for a one-day pop-up to kick off the last official weekend of summer. Wondering if you might be interested in covering?

From 9am to 12pm, Utopia Bagels will offer a collaborative menu of their beloved bagels, including a one-time only special collab bagel called The Fresh Catch with FreshDirect's signature lobster salad and ingredients pulled from the store's selection of farm fresh offerings. They’ll also be bringing along a selection of plain bagels, everything bagels, cream cheese and their signature “Worth It Bagel,” topped with Nova lox, cream cheese, tomato, red onion and capers. 

The Utopia Bagels collab marks the end of the summer season for FreshDirect on Main, which opened in May as FreshDirect’s first-ever retail location. The store will remain open through December, with additional events and collaborations to be announced soon.

Deets: The Hampton Classic is one of the largest outdoor horse shows in the United States, a premier destination for horse people, and a much-anticipated stop on the summer tour for competitors. Now well into its fifth successful decade, The Hampton Classic Horse Show is in a class all its own, both in the minds of spectators and horse people alike.

Top equestrians from around the world compete for more than one million dollars in prize money. National champion hunter competitors, Olympic medalists, and scores of children and adult amateurs make up the field riding approximately 1,400 horses entered each year in 200+ separate competitions.

In addition to watching world class equestrian sport, spectators enjoy 80 onsite shops, International food options, daily activities in the kids' area, and Monday's annual Animal Adoption Day, featuring rescued dogs, cats, and horses in search of a forever home.

In 2009, the Hampton Classic became only the second horse show ever to receive the status of Heritage Competition by the United States Equestrian Federation. This prestigious status is reserved for competitions that have been in existence for at least 25 years and have provided for their communities as well as the horse community as a whole in an unprecedented fashion.

Opening Sunday you will find probably the tensest competition all week, the legendary Hampton Classic Leadline. Dozens upon dozens of ponies parade their riders, judged by Olympic Gold medalist Joe Fargis, while their proud parents and grandparents watch nervously from the V.I.P. tents.

The week culminates with the $400,000 Longines Hampton Classic Grand Prix, one of the most coveted titles in the sport.

The Hampton Classic Horse Show is always a grand way to end the summer. Held in high regard by the horse community, famous for its Hamptons celebrity sightings, and second to none in high end shopping boutiques, it earns its nickname The Classic.

Deets: The Holiday House Hamptons Designer Showhouse event will return on July 12 with an opening night White Party and run through August 17.

The showhouse will be co-chaired Christian Siriano, Campion Platt and Andrea Stark with Jean Shafiroff as the Philanthropy Chair. The house will feature over 15 of the industry’s top interior designers and their cutting-edge lifestyle concepts and benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). To date, Holiday House, which was founded by breast cancer survivor Iris Dankner, has raised almost two million dollars for breast cancer research. 

The event is presented by East End Building Co. This year’s property at 392 Seven Ponds Towd Road in Water Mill is built and brokered by East End Building Co, and features 8 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms and 2 half baths, across 11,200 sq. ft.

Deets: On Saturday, July 12, Callen-Lorde Community Health Center will host its annual Hamptons Tea Dance fundraiser with DJ Jon Ali and a star-studded attendee list, dressed to the nines and mingling through the gorgeous landscapes of Nova’s Ark Project in Water Mill. This vibrant, not-to-be missed outdoor celebration draws an impressive crowd of 1,000 notable LGBTQ+ New Yorkers and their allies, making it the largest LGBTQ+ event in the Hamptons. 

The legendary Hamptons Tea Dance has been an LGBTQ+ tradition out east since 1992. The event features a large dance tent, which will be the hottest dance floor scene of the season, complete with an oversized disco ball. Delicious food and wine from local farms and vineyards–come try them all! Lawn games and a family-friendly activity area are longtime favorites of the event.

The event raises funds for Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, whose mission is to provide sensitive, quality health care and related services targeted to New York’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities — in all their diversity — regardless of ability to pay. Callen-Lorde serves 22,000 patients annually, promotes health education and wellness, and advocates for LGBTQ+ health issues. Callen-Lorde is the global leader in LGBTQ+ healthcare, and since the days of Stonewall, we have been transforming lives in LGBTQ+ communities through excellent comprehensive care, provided free of judgment and regardless of ability to pay. We are continuously pioneering research, advocacy and education to drive positive change around the world, because we believe healthcare is a human right.
