Deets: The Black Authors Festival returns bigger and bolder for its Third Annual Celebration—a powerful day of literary excellence, cultural pride, and civic engagement—held on the first Saturday of August in beautiful Sag Harbor, New York.

This year’s theme, “The Power of Literacy,” reinforces the Festival’s ongoing mission to raise awareness, inspire action, and champion youth development and literacy equity.

A Historic Declaration
In a groundbreaking moment, Festival President Darlene Williams, alongside Assemblymember Fred W. Thiele Jr., East Hampton Town Supervisor Kathee Burke-Gonzalez, and other elected officials, will officially declare August as Black Authors Festival Month on the East End.
