****PINK TIE PARTY HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO CORONAVIRUS CONCERNS***

Deets: Celebrate the blossoms in style at the National Cherry Blossom Festival’s signature Pink Tie Party fundraiser presented by ANA on Friday, March 20 from 7-11 p.m. hosted by Trade Center Management Associates (TCMA, A Drew Company) at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center (1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW). The event kicks off springtime and the 2020 cherry blossom season. 

More than 800 partygoers will enjoy an open bar and spring-inspired cuisine from top local restaurants including: Ana at District Winery, Art & Soul, Barley Mac, Central Michel Richard, Gerard Street Kitchen, Hanumanh, Texas Jack Barbeque, Reverie, The Pembroke, Ivy City Smokehouse, And 4 Dessert, Ocean Prime, Roof Terrace Restaurant at The Kennedy Center, Punjab Grill, Shoto, Pappe, and Tico, plus delectable bites by the Ronald Reagan Building’s Executive Chef Xavier Deshayes.

Specialty springtime cocktails will be served at a Beam Suntory Augmented Reality Bar in partnership with ARTECHOUSE, in addition to a sake tasting, presented by the Japan National Tourism Organization and the East Japan Railway Company that will transport guests to the Tohoku region of Japan.

The event will also feature a special performance by White Out Tokyo, champions of NBC’s World of Dance competition. Unique activities throughout the evening will include a ring toss for Kendra Scott jewelry prizes, a virtual reality experience with ANA, custom hand-drawn fashion sketches, a Chase photo and GIF booth, and plenty of other blossom-themed photo ops for the perfect springtime selfie.

CHANCE FOR LIFE POKER TOURNAMENT & TASTE EXPERIENCE 2020, DC

Deets: Alexandria-based nonprofit Chance for Life is excited to announce that the 15th Annual Chance for Life Poker Tournament & Taste Experience will return to MGM National Harbor on Saturday, February 22, 2020. Chance for Life has raised $6.5 million to date to combat pediatric cancer, donating 100% of its turnkey event’s net proceeds to Children’s National Health System and Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. This September in honor of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, Chance for Life has a number of ways for the public to get involved and join the fight against childhood cancer.

 The Charity Poker Tournament is a Texas Hold ’Em style tournament with over 700 participating amateur players. Prizes are awarded for the top 30 winners with a grand prize of a $10,000 seat at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. The event features a top-shelf open bar, sprawling buffet, silent auction, celebrities, and more throughout the day. Poker players also have complimentary access to the Taste Experience.

The Taste Experience features uniquely curated food from renowned chefs who cook throughout metropolitan Washington. Dance the night away with an incredible line up of live performances, capped off with a surprise celebrity headliner. The night continues with a vibrant after party featuring VIP lounges, a top DJ and even more entertainment.

Deets: Enchant Christmas; the World’s Largest Christmas Light Maze, is making its DC debut in Nationals Park this November.

Between November 22 - December 29, The Nats outfield will be transformed into a twinkling maze of stunning light displays, while the infield will house an ice-skating trail adorned with spectacularly lit archways. The concourse will transform into a Christmas Market stocked with more than 60 local food and artisan merchant vendors, and the PNC Diamond Club along with other premium areas will become VIP and private holiday party experiences.

Hint for the Average Socialite: Early Bird bundle is on sale through June 23.

The Early Bird Bundle will be delivered in November, filled with festive goodies to kick-off the holiday season. With the Bundle reservation comes Loyalty Pricing rates on Enchant Christmas tickets and the opportunity for first-access to purchase those tickets ahead of the general public this September, with complimentary ice skate rentals and hot cocoa.

For its inaugural year, Enchant has partnered with community organizations and regional purveyors to bring a world of wonder to Nats Park. Here’s a snapshot at what’s in store this season: 

  • Date Nights - November 24, December 3, December 10: Guests are invited to have photographs taken of their date night in the maze. All guests who purchase tickets for the evening will get access to a gallery of all shots from the night.

  • Government Employee Nights - November 22-24: Government ID holders will enjoy a 10% discount. 

  • Paws N’ Claus - December 1 & 16: Paws N’ Claus lets you and your furry four-legged friend experience Enchant together. Pet photos with Santa will also be available on site.

  • Educator Special Event Nights - December 3 & 4: Guests carrying their teacher ID will enjoy a 10% discount and will receive a 10 pack of Enchant pencils for their classroom. 

  • Ladies Night - December 4: Guests can get BOGO skate rentals (one for you, and one for your bff!) 

  • Military Night - December 5: Honoring our service members and veterans with specialty programming, a $3.00 donation from each ticket purchased for the evening to a military charity,  and a 10% discount for active military any night of the week.

  • Sing for the Fences - December 11: For those who love a Christmas song, enjoy an evening of led caroling. Explore the World’s Largest Christmas Maze at Nats Park, put your skates on and glide through the sparkling trail, then snag some hot cocoa and head to the live entertainment stage for led caroling. This is an opportunity to sing out your favorite holiday tunes as the snow gently falls around you.
