Deets: Shane Pomajambo, the owner, designer, and art curator of the newly opened 6,200-square-foot restaurant/bar, combined with an art gallery, WHINO, is pleased to announce the upcoming art show, ALL HALLOWS. This spirited exhibit will launch with a complimentary reception, which is open to the public, on Thursday, October 14, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. The group art show will be featured at WHINO through November 10th.

ALL HALLOWS is a group art show, featuring local, national, and international works by artists looking at traditions which originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, a Gaelic festival marking the end of the harvest season and beginning of winter or the "darker-half" of the year.  What was once developed by believers to ward off ghosts, by lighting bonfires and wearing costumes, has had numerous forms of expression across many cultures. The rituals vary in scope, from remembering the dead, including pagan traditions, saints (hallows), martyrs, and departed loved ones. There is a vast history giving the artists represented in this unique show plenty of inspiration. Each of their artistic creations will encompass their interpretation of this ancient tradition.

Hint for the Average Socialite: The event is free and open to the public. Must be 21+ to consume alcohol.
