Deets: On Wednesday, March 6, 8:30–11:59 p.m. the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) will kick-off Women’s History Month with a one-of-a-kind, late-night, aluminum-themed bash. NMWA Unframed: Aluminate the Night includes a partnership with haus of bambi; performances by poet Alexa Patrick and Les the DJ; an Ebonibleu parade from Miss Grace David, Best Local Artist 2025 Washington Blade; and a headline performance by Bessie Award-Nominee and 2025 winner of Revry TV’s King of Drag, King Molasses.
NMWA Unframed celebrates the 10th anniversary of #5WomenArtists, the museum’s award-winning advocacy campaign supporting gender equity in the arts. The evening begins at 7 p.m. with an exclusive VIP Experience featuring art world luminaries, an open bar, a private art performance, and more. The event reach full shimmer at 8:30 p.m. with a dazzling lineup of music performances, DJ sets and dancing in the galleries. Interactive elements include a live mural, a costume contest and pop-up art activations. Inspired by the traditional 10th anniversary gift of aluminum, guests are encouraged to don metallic, chrome and glitter-inspired looks.
