Deets: PAINT THE MIC is a visual and performing art show that raises funds and resources for local organizations who serve at-risk communities. This annual red carpet event is an artistic initiative that pairs painters with performers and poets to create an impressive array of thought-provoking pieces of art. This year’s beneficiary is Creating Creators, an organization that empowers teachers to instruct their students in finding their voices through the craft of filmmaking. This year’s “Connection Exhibit” has a projected attendance of 300+ guests from every part of the entertainment industry.

PAINT THE MIC was established in 2007 when actor and performance artist Goya Robles (“Get Shorty”) wanted to help other artists create a platform where they could express themselves and make a living through their work. Over the years, it has evolved to include various forms of artistic creation, all for the primary goal of raising funds and resources for local philanthropic organizations whose mission is to serve the greater community.
