Deets: In 1959, The first Playboy Jazz Festival was held in Chicago, Ill., at the Chicago Stadium by Playboy Enterprises mogul Hugh Hefner to celebrate jazz music. There was a lapse in years before The Playboy Jazz Festival was held again. To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Playboy, the Playboy Jazz Festival was held in 1979 in Los Angeles, Calif., at the Hollywood Bowl Rave. The reviews and large crowds have ensured that the festival has been held annually ever since.

Since 2014, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association has taken over the Playboy Jazz Festival concert. The festival is generally held during the summer, providing fans with great weather and a relaxing evening listening to their favorite jazz music. Attending the Playboy Jazz Festival is a unique experience because it combines the award-winning services and venue the Hollywood Bowl offers with the inventiveness and tradition of the Playboy brand.
