Deets: Netflix and CicLAvia are partnering up for Stranger Things 5 One Last Ride – an epic event bringing fans together to bike, skate, or stroll along a car-free stretch of Melrose Ave in celebration of the cultural phenomenon’s fifth and final season. For one day only, the street will be reimagined as Hawkins itself, where the familiar collides with the mysteries of the Upside Down and fans come together for one last adventure.
Netflix x CicLAvia—Melrose Ave: Stranger Things 5 One Last Ride also marks CicLAvia’s 64th car-free open streets event since 2010 of catalyzing vibrant public spaces, active transportation and good health through car-free streets. This event connects Fairfax and Vermont Avenues, welcoming everyone of all ages and abilities to enjoy this 4-mile pop-up park for the day with one’s favorite people-powered way, whether that's walking, jogging, biking, roller skating, skating, or simply spectating. Always free, CicLAvia participants just show up anywhere along the route at any time to enjoy the open streets and to take the time to explore the Melrose corridor.
Fans will step into the world of Stranger Things with immersive photo ops, pedal-powered activations, live entertainment, merch, giveaways, and an exclusive content drop - all taking place just days before Volume 1 hits Netflix on November 26 at 5 p.m. PT.
We’re going full 1980s, and everyone is invited to join the fun: show up as your favorite Hawkins character or monster of the Upside Down, or channel peak ‘80s vibes with neon, leg warmers, windbreakers, or any totally awesome retrofit.
If that’s not enough, fans can also choose to take part in a special quest along the route. Rack up collectable stamps by completing various activities on the quest map to unlock additional surprises.
Hint for the Average Socialite: This event is free and open to the public.
