The iconic Los Angeles-based brand was created 20 years ago as a love letter from Kent Yu -- who grew up in the salon world thanks to his parents, who were both hairdressers -- to his girlfriend (now wife) Julie Chung. He set out to create a prototype of a more elevated, design-forward hair dryer after noticing that all of the products in Juliet's beauty routine were elegant, thoughtfully designed, and worthy of a space on her bathroom counter -- except for her hair tools! About Suá Superette
Suá Superette is a modern, Sichuan Chinese-inspired cafe and market featuring a menu of grab-and-go meals artfully prepared by in-house chefs. Founded by Stephanie Hjelmeseth and Jing Gao, each dish is prepared with organic, local produce and the highest quality, sustainable proteins like non-gmo chicken, grass-fed beef, premium Atlantic salmon with no antibiotics or hormones, and locally made Meiji tofu.
