Deets: Discover the magic of Japan right here in Orange County at Taste of Japan, happening from Friday, June 19 to Sunday, June 21 at STC Anaheim GardenWalk. A celebration of Japanese culture for all ages, the weekend-long event features authentic Japanese cuisine, captivating cultural performances, and exciting contests and activities. Now in its seventh year, Taste of Japan attracts over 50,000 festival-goers annually, promising another unforgettable experience full of Japanese cuisine, fun, and appreciation.

More than 100 of Southern California’s best Japanese vendors will be selling food and cultural goods at this dog-friendly event, spread across all levels of the STC GardenWalk. Everything from classic Japanese meals to quick bites will be available from popular eateries showcased on Oishii Street, a section of the fest designed to immerse guests in a sensory experience true to the traditional Japanese street food alley experience. 

Each day of the festival, enjoy live entertainment on the main stage featuring traditional Japanese Taiko drummers, dynamic martial arts demonstrations, anime showcases, and other exciting highlights from Japanese pop culture. Visitors of all ages can take part in family-friendly cultural activities, including traditional Japanese festival games such as Hit the Can, Candy Catching Game, Ring Toss, and more. There’s also the fan-favorite Kimono Contest, Pet Contest, and a special scavenger hunt-based raffle with various prizes, ranging from traditional Japaneseitems like sensu folding fans to a roundtrip flight to Hawaii, among other amazing winnings. 

For the adults, there will be Kanpai Yokocho, Taste of Japan’s 21 and up, 13,000 square foot indoor VIP beer and sake garden. Taste your way through an authentic Japanese beer and sake experience, with traditional bar snacks and beverages, hosted by Yokocho Fest.  

STC Anaheim GardenWalk is located in Anaheim, Calif., on 400 W Disney Way, near Disney’s California Adventure. Parking is available in the venue’s 4-story parking garage, as well as 2 additional overflow parking lots nearby, with exact locations soon to be announced. Taste of Japanencourages ride sharing for Yokocho VIP guests. 

The event is organized by Tanoshii Project and STC Anaheim GardenWalk.
