Deets: The 8th annual OFF THE HOOK Santa Monica Seafood Festival splashes onto the iconic Santa Monica Pier for National Seafood Month on Sunday, October 11, 2026, bringing together top chefs, restaurants, and ocean advocates for a celebration of seafood, sustainability, and community.
This year’s festival will also commemorate the 100th anniversary of Route 66 and raise funds and awareness for Heal the Bay, supporting its mission to protect the coastline, restore local waterways, and keep Santa Monica Bay clean. The event will also support the Santa Monica Pier Corporation, helping fund free community programming on the iconic Pier.
OFF THE HOOK is Santa Monica’s premier seafood festival, bringing together more than 25 of the city’s top restaurants and chefs to showcase their favorite underwater ingredients. Guests can feast their way through the Pier with unlimited tastings of oysters, lobster, shrimp, tuna, caviar, sushi, and more, alongside craft beer, boutique wines, spirits, and spirits tastings.
The seaside celebration will also feature a live ’70s and ’80s Yacht Rock Party with The Windbreakers, games, artisan vendors, ocean-inspired photo ops, and the festival’s crowd-favorite oyster shucking and slurping competitions sponsored by Westside Oyster Club. VIP guests will enjoy an elevated experience in Santa Monica Seafood's Sustainable Seafood VIP Lounge, powered by FWR Rental Haus, featuring one-hour early entry, curated cocktails, exclusive sustainable seafood tastings from additional restaurants, a VIP gift bag courtesy of Santa Monica Seafood, and an unlimited amusement park ride pass for Pacific Park.
In honor of the Route 66 Centennial, OFF THE HOOK will celebrate one of America’s most legendary highways at its iconic western terminus at the Santa Monica Pier, with nostalgic Route 66 flair woven throughout the seaside festivities.
OFF THE HOOK is also committed to protecting the ocean it celebrates. The festival is 100% free of single-use plastics and incorporates sustainability, education and ocean-conservation initiatives throughout the event.
