Deets: The HollyRod Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness and providing resources to families impacted by autism and Parkinson’s disease, will host its annual DesignCare 2026: “Action in Motion” fundraising gala on Saturday, November 7, 2026, in Los Angeles. Sponsored by American Airlines, the event will honor Samuel L. Jackson and LaTanya Richardson Jackson with the Clarence & Jacqueline Avant HollyRod Humanitarian Award.

The evening will also recognize Bruce Sickler (Angel on the Path Award), Maureen McCormick (Angel on the Path Award), Ahman Green (Matthew Thomas Robinson Courage Award), Camille Joy Robinson (HollyRod Hero Award), Tanner Smith (HollyRod Hero Award), and Teoscar and Jennifer Hernández (HollyRod Champions of Belonging Award).

Co-hosted by HollyRod founders Holly Robinson Peete and Rodney Peete, the gala will feature a red-carpet reception, dinner, silent and live auctions, a fashion presentation by acclaimed designer Frederick Anderson, and a special guest musical performance.

Celebrating 27 years of advocacy and support for the autism and Parkinson’s communities, this year’s “Action in Motion” theme highlights the foundation’s commitment to turning awareness into meaningful action and support for families.
