Deets: Santa Monica Place will transform into the Westside’s premier destination for football fans this summer with the debut of its USA Kick Off Watch Party sponsored by Michelob ULTRA. The all-day, festival-style celebration will take place Friday, June 12, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. in Center Plaza and throughout the property.
Designed as a high-energy, festival-style experience, the event will bring together live match viewing, entertainment, and immersive fan activations throughout the day, including coverage of the FIFA World Cup 26™ Canada vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina match at 12 p.m. ahead of the featured live broadcast of the FIFA World Cup 26™ USA vs. Paraguay match at 6 p.m. Santa Monica Place’s Center Plaza will transform into a vibrant match-day headquarters complete with large viewing screens, branded fan zones, hospitality experiences, free WiFi, workspace lounges and interactive programming designed to encourage guests to spend the day onsite connecting, working remotely and networking with fellow football fans and members of the local business community across Los Angeles.
Beginning at 11 a.m., Santa Monica Place will come alive with a range of interactive, high-energy programming designed to engage fans throughout the day leading up to kickoff. Guests can expect:
Live broadcasts of FIFA World Cup 26™ USA vs. Paraguay (6 p.m.) and FIFA World Cup 26™ Canada vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina (12 p.m.)
DJs and live entertainment throughout the afternoon
Food and drink vendors, giveaways and branded activations
Interactive fan experiences, photo moments, and face-painting
VIP lounge and premium viewing areas in Center Plaza
Workspace lounges, free WiFi, and networking opportunities for guests spending the day onsite
The Center Plaza activation will be 21 and over, while the rest of Santa Monica Place remains open to guests of all ages, allowing the event to cater to both dedicated fans and the broader community.
Beyond Center Plaza, the watch party will extend throughout the property, with opportunities for tenant participation, special retail activations, and dining experiences across the center. Additional programming details and participating partners will be announced in the coming weeks.
The June 12 kickoff marks the first watch party activation at Santa Monica Place, as the center explores expanded programming opportunities tied to major cultural and global sporting moments. The event also reinforces Santa Monica Place’s role as a key gathering space on the Westside, capable of hosting Santa Monica’s premier watch parties and festival-style fan experiences while driving meaningful economic impact for tenants and the surrounding community.
