Deets: SoCal’s Museums-Free-For-All is celebrated by more than 25 local museums, offering free entry to Angelinos for one day to celebrate art.
The museums range from art to film to interactive installations and everything in between, so there is a place to visit for everyone.
Participating museums:
Academy Museum of Motion Pictures (tickets will be first come first serve all day)
American Museum of Ceramic Art (advanced reservations are required)
Autry Museum of the American West (advanced reservations are required)
The Broad (advanced reservations are recommended)
California Botanic Garden (advanced reservations are recommended)
The Forest Lawn
The Getty Center (timed tickets are required)
The Getty Villa (timed tickets are required for The Getty Villa)
La Brea Tar Pits & Museum (advance tickets required)
Long Beach Museum of Art (advance tickets are recommended)
Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) (advance tickets are required)
MOCA Grand Avenue and The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA (advance tickets are recommended)
Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History (advanced reservations recommended; Sea Center not included)
Skirball Cultural Center (advance tickets recommended for both Noah’s Ark and general admission)
Hint for the Average Socialite: Entry is free, but check with the museums you are interested in. Many require reservations, as this is a very popular day.
