Deets: The Fifteen Percent Pledge, the nonprofit organization founded by Aurora James to advance equity for Black-owned businesses, will host its Fifteen Percent Pledge Fundraising Gala and 15th Street Block Party Weekend on February 7–8 at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles.
The annual Fifteen Percent Pledge Fundraising Gala, hosted by Abby Phillips on Saturday, February 7, will honor Ms. Tina Knowles for her leadership, advocacy, and commitment to empowering Black communities and creators.
The 15th Street Block Party, taking place February 7–8 on the Paramount Studios backlot, will celebrate Black-owned businesses, creators, and culture with a vibrant community experience featuring vendors, food trucks, DJs, performers, and live entertainment. Media will have the opportunity to see the Fifteen Percent Pledge’s work in action and engage directly with Black founders participating in the weekend’s programming.
The weekend will spotlight the organization’s continued impact and future initiatives, including the forthcoming launch of its first-ever accelerator program in partnership with Victoria’s Secret, debuting this spring. Since its founding in 2020, the Fifteen Percent Pledge has grown from a single call to action into a leading platform supporting Black entrepreneurs through access to capital, education, and retail opportunity. In 2025 alone, the Fifteen Percent Pledge disbursed nearly $1 million in grants to Black-owned businesses, introduced 950+ Black-owned brands to retail shelves nationwide, and expanded its community to more than 10,000 entrepreneurs through targeted programs designed to support long-term growth in an evolving economic landscape.
