Deets: Oceana, the largest international advocacy organization dedicated solely to ocean conservation, is holding its 19th annual SeaChange Summer Party on Saturday, July 25th at a private residence in Laguna Beach. This year’s event will honor actress Kate Walsh and be hosted by actress June Diane Raphael. The Rakiem Walker Project featuring GLR¥A will deliver a special performance for supporters of the organization. 

Awarded “Best Summer Soiree” by Modern Luxury Riviera - Oceana’s SeaChange Summer Party has raised over $23 million in support of Oceana’s campaigns to protect and restore the world’s oceans. This year’s event comes as Oceana celebrates its landmark 25th anniversary. The organization was founded in 2001 and has won over 350 impactful victories worldwide while protecting more than 4 million square miles of ocean.

Over 25 years, Oceana’s strategic campaigns have helped reduce overfishing, create new marine protected areas, stop destructive fishing like bottom trawling, curb plastic pollution, limit the expansion of offshore drilling, increase transparency at sea, and protect threatened species like whales and sharks. Because the oceans cover more than 70% of our planet, ocean health is critical to solving some of the world’s most pressing issues, from climate change to food insecurity. 

The 19th annual SeaChange Summer Party is co-chaired by Oceana Board Member Elizabeth Wahler and Jeff Blasingame.
