Deets: Regarded as neighborhood mainstays on Fairfax Ave since 2018, the kitchens of BADMAASH and Prime Pizza are coming together to create the Butter Chicken Pizza. Available for a two-week run in mid-May 2026, the limited-edition square pie brings South Asian flavors into one of Los Angeles’ most iconic pizza institutions, layering BADMAASH’s signature butter chicken with mozzarella, bell peppers, pickled onions, and fresh parsley in a rich, indulgent pie. 

Since opening in Downtown LA in 2013, followed by Fairfax in 2018, BADMAASH has reshaped American perceptions of Indian cuisine by blending unapologetic flavors with the energy of the city. The evolution continues with the recent highly anticipated opening of BADMAASH Venice, marking a new chapter for the brand in the city. Beyond Los Angeles, BADMAASH has built a growing international following, bringing its point of view to cities like London, Mumbai, and other destinations through a series of sought after pop-ups. 

A staple of Los Angeles’ pizza scene, Prime Pizza has built a loyal following for its classic approach to authentic New York-style pies, balancing quality ingredients with a distinctly local point of view. Known for their deep ties to the community and thoughtful collaborations, Prime Pizza has become a platform for some of the city’s most exciting culinary crossovers. Past partnerships include curry-driven creations with Champion’s Curry, a birria inspired offering with Tacos y Birria La Unica, and bold Thai flavors with Jitlada, each reflecting a commitment to both culinary craft and cultural influence. The collaboration with BADMAASH continues that trajectory, bringing together two distinct perspectives, while celebrating their roots in Los Angeles.

The restaurant’s cult-favorite Butter Chicken Sauce, a tomato curry spiced with cardamom and fenugreek, is also available bottled, sold online and in select markets, to bring authentic Indian flavors into home kitchens. The crossover with Prime Pizza showcases BADMAASH’s guiding light since its foundation, to amplify the flavors and heritage of India in an exciting and accessible way. 

Hint for the Average Socialite: Launching on Thursday, May 14th, the collaboration will run for a limited time only through Monday, May 25th, and will be available across all Prime Pizza locations and on Uber Eats, while supplies last.
