Deets: Join us for Summer Free Day on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, presented by Banda El Recodo, one of Mexico’s most celebrated bands. Attendees will have access to all of the Museum’s current exhibits as well as special programming celebrating the band’s nearly 90-year legacy. Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy a meet-and-greet with Banda El Recodo on a first-come, first-serve basis.

This special day will feature a conversation with the band moderated by Gabriel Abaroa, former President/CEO of The Latin Recording Academy, followed by an acoustic performance. A special pop-up exhibit, on display from July 20 through October 2026, will feature artifacts from the band, including one of the band’s tamboras, a tuba, a clarinet, and a stage outfit, and more.
