Deets: Brooklyn’s newest 50,000-square-foot urban bathhouse, and wellness club is set to open December 8th, becoming one of the largest and most diverse premiere spas in New York City. The space will offer a first-of-its-kind wellness experience featuring three floors of traditional and cultural spa treatments, practices, and globally inspired rituals, all under one roof.

WORLD SPA transports guests into a cultural oasis combining authentic spa experiences from around the world, including Eastern European banyas, Finnish saunas, Turkish and Moroccan hammams, cleansing Himalayan salt therapy, Japanese onsens, an infrared room as well an assortment of saunas, steam rooms, and pools, creating a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of NYC. Private hammams and banyas are also available for those wanting additional relaxation and privacy.

“We are thrilled to open up our doors this fall and provide our guests the opportunity to experience our pioneering approach to wellness,” says Mr. Vays, WORLD SPA Managing Director. “At WORLD SPA guests can immerse themselves in treatments from every corner of the globe, including unique treatment rooms like our Himalayan Salt Room to the Theater Room that offers a calming audio and visual experience while enjoying a relaxing foot massage. We look forward to making WORLD SPA the premiere wellness and spa destination in not only New York but also across the globe.”

Authenticity is key to the WORLD SPA experience. Handmade Moroccan and Turkish tiles were imported to adorn the hammams, while authentic Kelo pine from Northern Europe was imported to serve as the base of the saunas and banyas. WORLD SPA aims to create a new type of wellness sanctuary that not only provides a welcoming, inspiring, and relaxing destination for those in the New York area but also directly enriches and supports the arrival of aqua thermal culture for the local community.

In addition to the multitude of treatments available, guests are welcome to indulge in three fine dining options. Located on the main level, guests can take a break and refuel between treatments at the WORLD SPA Lounge featuring international entrees and light bites ranging from Caviar to exquisite hand-rolled sushi and sashimi, to raw bar offerings to decadent desserts, as well as an array of drinks including unrivaled teas, coffees, smoothies, and kombucha. As one of the only spas in New York to hold a liquor license, WORLD SPA also offers signature cocktails, wine, and a choice of craft beers for guests as part of the WORLD SPA Lounge menu. Cabanas are available for those who want additional privacy while dining with friends.

For an upscale fine dining experience, WORLD SPA is home to Chef Shaun Hergatt’s newest venture, REN Restaurant. A casual, cozy, and comfortable atmosphere, REN elevates everyday dining through simple, yet perfectly prepared fresh dishes, with handcrafted cocktails and an extensive wine cellar to top off the experience. Designed by an internationally award-winning studio, REN is the perfect place to conclude a day spent at WORLD SPA.

A place to unwind alone, or gather with friends, WORLD SPA also offers two private lodges, Dacha and Chalet, perfect for hosting intimate events. Both spaces feature private banyas and amenities including showers, changing rooms, audio/visual equipment, and more, perfect for hosting a private celebration with friends and family or a business meeting. Catering from the REN is also available to further enhance any private event.

Additionally, WORLD SPA will offer a members-only club to give a home to a spirited community with compatible interests, characters, and tastes. Available through approval only, WORLD SPA is modernizing the members-only concept and adapting to a new generation.
