Deets:
New Yorkers and visitors will have something big to talk about starting March 10 when multi-disciplinary artist Charlotte Colbert’s massive 30-foot tall steel sculptures land in NYC. ‘Chasing Rainbows’, the two-site installation across Manhattan’s Flatiron NoMad neighborhood and the Meatpacking District marks the global premiere of these 30-foot works and Colbert’s first U.S. public art presentation.

Installed in high-traffic, open-air pedestrian plazas, the scale, reflective material of the steel, and the surrealist depictions are intended to juxtapose childlike imagination with the monolithic proportions of Manhattan. Drawing on archetypal symbols and fairy tales, “Chasing Rainbows” invites passersby to pause, and look up with wonder in a shared, public experience.

The exhibition is curated by public art agency, New Public, in partnership with NYC Department of Transportation Art program, the Meatpacking District Management Association, and Flatiron NoMad Partnership, and celebrated art figure Simon de Pury.

April 1-30 / Various times
Community Recycling Day: April 15 / 10AM-2PM
Car Free Earth Day: April 25 / 10AM-4PM

Deets: NYC is begging for spring. With Earth Day coming up on April 22, Manhattan neighborhoods like the Flatiron NoMad district are preparing to welcome the season and celebrate Mother Earth with a full Earth Month of outdoor fun and sustainability-focused public events.

On April 15, New Yorkers are encouraged to do their part by recycling unwanted e-waste (old computers, cell phones, printers) and textiles (clothing, shoes, bedding, linens) on Community Recycling Day at the Flatiron South Plaza from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Last year, community members donated nearly 3,000 pounds of e-waste. This is the first year that Community Recycling Day will welcome textiles in addition to electronics.

On April 25, one of New Yorkers’ favorite days return when streets are closed to vehicular traffic for Car-Free Earth Day (think: a preview of Summer Streets which return in June). In partnership with NYC DOT, Flatiron NoMad Partnership will be closing down Broadway from 31st to 20th Streets for cars (just part of a total closure of 30 blocks from Times Square to Union Square) allowing bike riders and pedestrians to enjoy moving through the district's main thoroughfare safely and freely. Riders and non-riders alike can look out for interactive, family friendly activities on the Flatiron South Plaza.

Visitors can take advantage of world-class dining in the district and enjoy it in a sustainable way by visiting Flatiron NoMad’s Green Dining District. The first and only certified eco-friendly restaurant collection in NYC, 12 concepts in Flatiron NoMad – including favorites like Scarpetta, Rezdora, and BLACKBARN – have committed year-round to lowering waste and emissions, saving nearly 100,000 pounds of waste annually.

Throughout the month of April, visitors to the Flatiron NoMad district can enjoy tastes of spring through new blooms in refreshed flower boxes and planters, strolling through Madison Square Park, taking in a 30-foot art installation “Dreamland Sirens” by Charlotte Colbert, and capturing the season – and soon-to-be uncovered Flatiron Building – through a festive spring photo frame.

Deets: We’re hosting The Berry Library, Vol. 01 — a book exchange by The Berry Collective, in partnership with Bang & Olufsen — on April 28 at their Soho space.

Bring a book you love. Something you’ve held onto, recommended more than once, or still think about long after finishing. Before the exchange, you’ll wrap it and include a short note — why it matters to you, who you’d pass it to, or what it made you feel. You’ll leave with someone else’s favorite, along with the story that comes with it.

Throughout the evening, we’ll have bites from Nata, matcha by Mio, and non-alcoholic cocktails from De Soi, along with personalized keepsakes, ear seeding, and thoughtful extras from some of our favorite brands to take home, as always.

Bang & Olufsen will also host a dedicated listening experience within the space — an invitation to slow down, tune in, and connect through sound.

Come alone or with a friend. Stay for the conversations, the recommendations, and the kind of night that feels easy, but stays with you.

Deets: The multi-talented Rita Wilson is releasing her sixth studio album, Sound of a Woman on May 1.

Wilson will perform selections from the album and talk with longtime friend and Oscar-nominee Demi Moore about the making of the record and why now was the right time to release this raw, honest body of work as a very private person leading a very public life. Wilson’s soul-baring songwriting on Sound of a Woman is part unfiltered memoir, part nuanced observation of the world around her, exploring the arc of a woman’s life that unfolds as a moving narrative through this collection of songs.

Wilson is also beloved for a multitude of roles in iconic films and TV shows such as Sleepless in Seattle and Girls, and the film producer behind the blockbuster franchises Mamma Mia! and My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Her Broadway roles include star turns in Larry David’s Fish in the Dark and Chicago.

If Marvel Television’s Daredevil: Born Again has been your latest Disney+ obsession, here’s your chance to go behind the mask.

Join Charlie Cox, the man who brought Matt Murdock’s bruised heroism back to the screen, for a live, in-person conversation with Happy Sad Confused host Josh Horowitz as they unpack the explosive second season.

When Season 2 begins, Wilson Fisk has done the unthinkable: he hasn’t just risen to power — he is the power. As New York City’s mayor, Fisk tightens his grip on the city, forcing Matt Murdock out of the light and into the shadows. Branded a criminal and hunted under Fisk’s regime, Matt begins assembling a resistance of vigilantes willing to fight back against a system stacked against them.

Cox and Horowitz will dive into the season’s biggest moments, the legacy of the Marvel Comics that shaped the story, what it takes to bring this darker corner of the MCU to life, and the moral stakes that make Daredevil one of Marvel’s most grounded and gripping sagas.

The Costume Institute Benefit (also known as The Met Gala®) / May 4
Met Gala Exhibition Dates: / May 10 – January 10, 2027

Deets:
The Metropolitan Museum of Art announced today The Costume Institute’s spring 2026 exhibition, Costume Art, which will examine the centrality of the dressed body, juxtaposing objects from across the Museum’s vast collection with historical and contemporary garments from The Costume Institute. The exhibition will be the first show in The Met’s new nearly 12,000-square-foot Galleries adjacent to the Great Hall, which will display The Costume Institute’s annual spring exhibition and transform visitors’ experience at this important nexus of the Museum. Costume Art will be on view at The Met Fifth Avenue from May 10, 2026, through January 10, 2027.

To celebrate the opening of the spring 2026 exhibition, Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour will co-chair The Costume Institute Benefit (also known as The Met Gala) on Monday, May 4. Anthony Vaccarello and Zoë Kravitz will co-chair the Gala Host Committee, with members including Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Gwendoline Christie, Alex Consani, Misty Copeland, Elizabeth Debicki, Lena Dunham, Paloma Elsesser, LISA, Chloe Malle, Sam Smith, Teyana Taylor, Lauren Wasser, Anna Weyant, A’ja Wilson, and Yseult. Additional members of the Host Committee and the evening’s dress code will be announced at a later date. The Met Gala® takes place annually on the first Monday in May, with proceeds providing The Costume Institute with its primary source of annual funding for exhibitions, publications, acquisitions, and operations. The funds raised also support other Museum activities.

Focusing primarily on Western art from prehistory to the present, Costume Art will be organized into a series of thematic body types that reflect their ubiquity and endurance through time and space. These comparisons will highlight the inextricable relationship between clothing and the body and reveal that artistic representations of the body are shaped by the garments that clothe them and that the garments, in turn, are shaped by the bodies which they clothe.

In recognition of a significant lead gift from Condé Nast, the new nearly 12,000-square-foot Galleries will be named for the company’s founder, the late Condé M. Nast. Additional generous contributions toward the renovation are provided by Thom Browne, and Michael Kors and Lance Le Pere. Further support is provided by Met Trustee Aerin Lauder, Tory Burch LLC, Nancy C. and Richard R. Rogers, as well as Met Trustee Amy Griffin and John Griffin.

The exhibition and Benefit are made possible by Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos.

Additional support is provided by Saint Laurent and Condé Nast.

The catalogue is made possible by Saint Laurent.

Hint for the Average Socialite: The Met Gala is strictly invitation only. The Costume Art Exhibition is open to the public.

Deets: Academy Award winner Goldie Hawn comes to 92NY for a lively daytime conversation with social psychologist Jonathan Haidt (author of The Anxious Generation) about her delightful new children’s book series, The After-School Kindness Crew — and the serious, joyful work of helping children grow into resilient, compassionate humans.

For more than five decades, Hawn has been a singular presence in American culture, beloved for her comedic brilliance and effervescent screen presence. For the past 20 years, she’s turned that same passion towards a different audience: children. Her new series (co-written with bestselling author Lin Oliver) introduces young readers to a trio of classmates whose adventures in friendship and kindness are filled with humor, heart, and just enough chaos — think surprise classroom escapades, a loose dog, and the occasional deep breath when it’s needed most.

The conversation will also explore the deeper through line of Hawn’s life’s work. Through the Goldie Hawn Foundation and MindUP, her pioneering educational program now reaching millions of children worldwide, she has helped bring mindfulness and emotional literacy into classrooms at a moment when both feel more essential than ever. How do we help children manage stress? Build optimism? Stay open to one another? Hawn brings practical insights along with wisdom and inspiration.

Join her for a conversation about storytelling, emotional well-being, and why kindness is not just a virtue, but a skill we can teach.

His two current projects — reprising the role of Nigel, the stylish right-hand man to Meryl Streep’s Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada 2, and a second season of his deeply personal culinary travel series Tucci in Italy — are a testament to the wide range and low-key swagger that have made him a star for over three decades.

Deets:
The Brooklyn Museum Presents North American Debut of Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses.

Opening May 16, 2026, the exhibition showcases over 140 haute couture creations alongside contemporary art, design, and scientific artifacts, inviting visitors to explore how Van Herpen merges craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology, sustainability, and pioneering aesthetics.

The groundbreaking exhibition Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses pays tribute to one of today’s most revolutionary fashion designers working at the intersection of art and science. A pioneer in her use of cutting-edge technologies, Iris van Herpen defies the limits of conventional fashion while embracing both traditional couture craftsmanship and innovative materials and techniques. Furthering the Brooklyn Museum’s legacy of landmark fashion exhibitions and its commitment to championing trailblazing women in art and design, Sculpting the Senses marks Van Herpen’s first major New York exhibition.

Debuting in 2023 at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the exhibition has since traveled to Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA), Singapore’s ArtScience Museum, and Kunsthal Rotterdam. It will make its North American debut at the Brooklyn Museum on May 16, 2026, timed with the Museum’s annual Brooklyn Artists Ball, where Van Herpen will be honored. The exhibitionis curated by Cloé Pitiot, Curator of Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and Contemporary Design, and Louise Curtis, Assistant Curator, Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris. The Brooklyn Museum presentation is supported by the Simons Foundation and is part of its “Infinite Sums” initiative. It is organized by Matthew Yokobosky, Senior Curator of Fashion and Material Culture, with Imani Williford, Curatorial Assistant, Photography, Fashion, and Material Culture.

Fascinated by the complexity of nature and the power of science, Van Herpen transforms scientific concepts into visionary fashion. Drawing from wide-ranging fields spanning mathematics, neuroscience, marine biology, paleontology, mycology, mineralogy, astronomy, and more, her haute couture designs seamlessly merge art, science, and technology—evoking the often unseen structures of nature, from coral reefs and branching systems of fungi to the vast patterns of planetary motion.

Taking visitors from the depths of the ocean to the outer reaches of the universe, Sculpting the Senses illuminates the core questions of the designer’s practice—about the body in space, its relationship to fashion and the environment, and its future in a rapidly changing world. Featuring themes that explore the mystery and might of water, the architecture of the skeleton and anatomical systems, the physics of motion, the perception of sound and light, and the generative interconnectedness of nature, each section in the exhibition showcases Van Herpen’s innovative approach to materials, movement, and technology. Her designs reflect the dynamic systems of the natural world, achieving the impossible with water-like sculptural gowns and air-like fabrics. Sculpting the Senses also includes an evocation of the designer’s atelier, offering visitors a unique opportunity to engage firsthand with the handcraftsmanship and tactile nature of couture creation.

Over 140 of Van Herpen’s avant-garde designs are placed in dialogue with works of contemporary art—by artists including Philip Beesley, Lanny Bergner, Rogan Brown, the Collectif Mé, Casey Curran, Wim Delvoye, Kim Keever, Nick Knight, Jacques Rougerie, David Spriggs, and Tim Walker. The exhibition also features design pieces by Ferruccio Laviani, Tomáš Libertíny, and Ren Ri alongside loans of scientific artifacts and natural history specimens, such as coral, fossils, and skeletons. The exhibition’s interdisciplinary nature thus nods to the Museum’s 1890 origins as the Brooklyn Institute of Arts and Sciences, which held both fine art and scientific specimen collections.

Situating Van Herpen’s work within a broad lineage of cross-disciplinary creativity, the Brooklyn presentation will feature new works drawn from its renowned collections in American art, Asian art, contemporary art, and feminist art as well as rare materials from the Museum’s Libraries and Archives. Featured artists include Katsumata Chieko, Tara Donovan, Harold Edgerton, Senju Hiroshi, Fujikasa Satoko, and Rob Wynne. Together, this intricate and fantastical display offers an intimate glimpse into Van Herpen’s artistic process, her expansive imagination, and her diverse sources of inspiration. The exhibition is complemented by a multisensory soundscape created by Dutch composer and music producer Salvador Breed.

Born in 1984, Iris van Herpen grew up in the Dutch riverside village of Wamel, where she fostered her close connection to nature. From a young age, she was influenced creatively by her passion for the natural world and classical dance, both of which are central to her design ethos. In 2007 she founded the Maison Iris van Herpen in Amsterdam, where she combined the subtleties of couture craftsmanship with the spirit of innovation. She became the first designer to show a 3D-printed dress on the runway with her 2010 Crystallization collection. Her sculptural designs have been worn by luminaries worldwide, including Beyoncé, Björk, Jordan Roth, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Naomi Campbell, Rosalía, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Zoë Kravitz.

TBA / June 2026

Deets:
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) Commissioner Yume Kitasei announced that the tallest tower of the David N. Dinkins Municipal Building will be opened for entirely free public tours for the first time this summer, making this unique perspective on the city available in time for the World Cup. Beginning in June, the public will be able to book tours led by DCAS staff through an online portal, with groups of six people departing from the NYC CityStore in the base of the building.

This access is enabled by a $6 million improvement project on the building, including repairing the building’s historic cupola, installing glass barriers to ensure visitors can safely enjoy the panoramic views of the city, and renovating the rotunda landing to make it safe and inviting to the public. Opening this space to the public for the first time builds on the Mamdani administration’s efforts to ensure New Yorkers across the five boroughs are able to access and enjoy the city’s public realm.

“For the first time ever, New Yorkers and visitors alike will experience the sweeping views of the city’s skyline perched atop the pinnacle of our city’s government operations, 1 Centre Street," said DCAS Commissioner Yume Kitasei. “Upon its completion, this project will increase public access to an iconic landmark and create new ways to experience New York City and preserve our historical building's infrastructure for future generations.”

“It shouldn’t be just the wealthy who enjoy the inspiration of an observation deck. New Yorkers should have an opportunity to look down upon the city they love,” said Comptroller Mark Levine. “I’ve been calling for this since serving as a Council Member and then Borough President, because when we open our civic institutions, we not only live up to our welcoming identity, we create a new way for New Yorkers to know and enjoy their home.”

The David N. Dinkins Municipal Building is home to over 2,000 employees, including the offices of the Comptroller, the Public Advocate, and the Manhattan Borough President, as well as a variety of city agencies. Designed by architecture firm McKim, Mead and White and constructed between 1909 and 1914, the building was made a New York City landmark in 1966, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, and renamed after Mayor David N. Dinkins in 2015.

Hint for the Average Socialite: Free guided tours will be open to the public in time for the World Cup this summer. Stay tuned for opening date & more details!

Deets:
The New York Public Library announced its plans to commemorate the semiquincentennial of the United States with a 2026 public viewing of The Declaration of Independence and a sweeping five-part exhibition spanning 250 years of history – all for free.

The New York Public Library will display its manuscript copy of the Declaration of Independence from July 1 to 3 of next year––250 years after the Founding Fathers ratified the landmark document. The Library’s world-class Manuscripts and Archives Division holds a fair copy of the original manuscript of the Declaration of Independence, which differs from the version that was ratified on July 4, 1776. The most notable difference being a lengthy condemnation of the slave trade, which was later removed to appease delegates from Georgia and South Carolina. Handwritten by Thomas Jefferson, the Library’s copy of the Declaration of Independence provides a unique lens into this watershed moment in American history.

Reservations will be required to view the Declaration of Independence, and can be made beginning in June 2026. In anticipation of high demand, the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building will extend its hours during the viewing period to better accommodate patrons.

Join us for a rare opportunity to see one of the jewels of our collections: a fair copy, in Thomas Jefferson's hand, of the Declaration of Independence. Jefferson created this copy to document what the Second Continental Congress had removed from his draft—including a fervent rebuke of the slave trade. This unique document highlights the tensions between liberty and enslavement at the nation's founding and reveals the ongoing work necessary to live up to the Declaration's sweeping promise of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

MEOW WOLF AT PIER 17, NYC

Art by Zac Lux

Download our Free App & Subscribe to our Newsletter for More NYC Events

Deets: Meow Wolf is coming to New York City! Our seventh exhibition will lie in the piers of Manhattan’s historic Seaport neighborhood.

Meow Wolf transforms art and storytelling through unparalleled immersive worlds. Bringing Meow Wolf to New York represents a seismic shift in art and entertainment that challenges and delights us, setting a new standard for wonder, awe, and innovation.

Meow Wolf, the creators of mind-bending immersive experiences, is heading to New York City. Their seventh permanent exhibition will open at the historic Seaport, bringing their maximalist mix of art, storytelling, and interactivity to one of the most iconic cities in the world. After years of East Coast fans asking for a Meow Wolf experience closer to home, the wait is finally over. The Seaport, a place where history and reinvention collide, is the perfect setting for Meow Wolf’s next adventure.

During South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Meow Wolf announced its next permanent exhibition to open in New York City. The reveal unfolded live on-stage, as beloved icon Plotzo, Meow Wolf’s self-proclaimed rat king of the undermallers, crashed the SXSW panel Dada for Dada: The Power of Absurdity to deliver the news.

Since its scrappy beginnings in Santa Fe in 2008, Meow Wolf has redefined how audiences engage with art. What started as an art collective transforming discarded materials into immersive experiences has evolved into a global phenomenon. With House of Eternal Return in Santa Fe as its first permanent exhibition, Meow Wolf has since expanded to Las Vegas, Denver, Dallas, and Houston, with upcoming locations in Los Angeles and now, New York. Across all these worlds, one thing remains constant: Meow Wolf’s ability to transport visitors into mind-expanding, interactive realms.

New York City has long been a hub for creative invention, making it a natural fit for Meow Wolf’s first East Coast exhibition. The Seaport’s waterfront energy, cobblestone streets, and eclectic mix of culture create a space where past and future converge—an environment set to fuel Meow Wolf’s imagination.

“The energy of New York City is unlike anywhere else, and it’s the perfect place for Meow Wolf,” said Jose Tolosa, CEO of Meow Wolf. “This city has given the world so much groundbreaking art and culture, and as a New Yorker myself, where my family and I proudly call home, I’m incredibly proud that we’re bringing something truly unique to this historic and ever-evolving creative hub.”

Meow Wolf exhibitions don’t fit into neat categories. They’re not escape rooms, selfie museums, or traditional immersive experiences. They are interactive universes filled with layers of narrative, where every visitor becomes part of the story. Meow Wolf New York will push these boundaries even further connecting to Meow Wolf’s larger cosmic universe while crafting something distinctly New York.

"New York has always been a city that thrives on reinvention, making it the perfect place for Meow Wolf’s next evolution," said Vince Kadlubek, Meow Wolf Co-Founder and Chief Vision Officer. "I’ve been closely involved in bringing this to life, and I couldn’t be more excited. We’re creating something with a level of creative ambition and next-generation storytelling that pushes beyond anything we’ve done before—an experience that truly belongs in this city."

Co-Founder and mascot Benji Geary sees it through a different lens. "I’m just excited to see an exhibit of ours in the most legendary city. New York is its own planet, a hyperobject of culture—self-assured, jaded, but hungry. It devours, reinvents, and warps reality through sheer density of minds. What happens when we throw our weird into that mix? The artists, the energy, the exquisite corpse of collaboration—what egregore will emerge? This isn’t a Meow Wolf exhibit in NYC. It’s NYC’s Meow Wolf exhibit. It’s gonna be what it wants to be."

As the first Certified B Corporation in the entertainment industry, Meow Wolf is dedicated to working with local artists to ensure each exhibition reflects the heart of its host city. Meow Wolf New York will be a love letter to the stories, people, and artistic spirit that make the city an unmatched cultural powerhouse.

The theme, opening date, and more details are still to come.

5TH ANNUAL BROADWAY CELEBRATES EARTH DAY, NYC

Deets:
The 5th Annual Broadway Celebrates Earth Day Concert takes place Saturday, April 25 from 11AM-3PM in Times Square’s Duffy Square in front of the iconic red steps.

Hosted by the Broadway Green Alliance — an industry-wide initiative that mobilizes the theatre community to combat climate change and advance sustainable solutions through education, free tools, and hands-on programs — the concert reflects the growing commitment of the performing arts sector to environmental responsibility.

For its milestone fifth year, the free public performance moves to one of the most recognizable stages on Earth, bringing Broadway’s voice for the planet directly to the Crossroads of the World. The event will blend performances from Broadway talent with over 100 students and performers from local schools and community groups, including:

The Jimmy Awards; Baayork Lee’s National Asian Artists Project; Tony Award® nominee Jenn Colella (Come From Away); Sonya Balsara (Aladdin); Mara Davi (A Chorus Line); Jenn Gambatese (Mrs. Doubtfire); Arielle Jacobs (Here Lies Love); Jelani Remy (Back to the Future); Shayna Steele (Rent); and performances from & Juliet, Chicago, and Wicked.

Reuniting for the first time since Beautiful: The Carole King Musical: Tony winner Jessie Mueller, Tony nominee Anika Larsen, and Tony nominee Jarrod Spector.

Special appearances by Tony winner Julie Halston (And Just Like That…), Emmy Award nominee Jackie Hoffman (Only Murders in the Building), and Drama Desk Award winner Andréa Burns (In the Heights).

The surrounding pedestrian plaza will host a special exhibit from lead partner The Climate Museum and offer family-friendly activities from leading voices in climate advocacy, including Headcount, Materials for the Arts, and the Wildlife Conservation Society — creating an afternoon where art meets action.

Last year’s concert drew more than 25,000 attendees, with an additional 75,000 visitors passing through Times Square during the event. It generated over 460,000 digital impressions across Broadway Green Alliance’s social platforms. Building on that momentum, this year’s concert aims to further elevate climate concerns, inspire more sustainable choices, and invite audiences to engage more deeply with live theatre.

Deets:
Naturepedic — the first mattress brand to earn both GOTS certification and EWG Verified® status — is hosting a free sheet recycling pop-up on April 25–26. The event is part of their "Sheet Swap" initiative, in partnership with Looptworks, the only U.S. facility that converts textile waste into high-quality circular products.

The first 20 customers to drop off a queen or king-size sheet set for recycling will receive a free Naturepedic sheet set (valued up to $329). All other customers who bring in sheets of any size will receive 50% off a new Naturepedic sheet set (offer valid through April 27). 92 million tons of textile waste are generated globally each year, and fewer than 1% of discarded textiles are ever recycled.

Additional customers who bring in sheets of any size will receive a 50% discount on Naturepedic sheets.*

This event gives residents a simple, tangible way to participate in the circular economy without sacrificing quality or comfort.

Deets: Brooklyn Children’s Museum (BCM) invites families to Celebrate Holi, the vibrant Hindu festival of color, with a full day of dance, art, food, and play. Co-presented by Ajna Dance Company and The Culture Tree, this beloved annual tradition has grown into BCM’s most popular celebration, drawing thousands of visitors from across the tri-state area.

Originating in India and now celebrated around the world, Holi marks the arrival of spring with joy, renewal, and the triumph of good over evil. At BCM, Celebrate Holi brings these traditions to life through hands-on cultural activities and lively color-powder play in neighboring Brower Park.

Celebrate Holi will take place across three timed sessions:
10:00 am – 12:30 pm
1:00 pm – 3:30 pm
4:00 pm – 6:30 pm

Each session offers the same lineup of activities and concludes with an energetic color-powder celebration. Families are encouraged to wear white for maximum color-powder impact and to purchase powder in advance.

This year’s festival highlights include:
-Live Bollywood performances by Ajna Dance Company, plus interactive workshops that give visitors the chance to learn some moves of their own.
-Food workshops with The Culture Tree where children can make and taste thandai, a traditional Indian cold drink.
-Interactive puppet shows by WonderSpark Puppets, bringing the story of Holi to life with humor and imagination.
-Delicious bites from beloved NYC food vendors, including: Malai Ice Cream, TAGMO, and Veeray da Dhaba
-Shopping from vendors such as Desai Designs and Kulture Khazana, offering artful crafts and goods inspired by Indian heritage.
-Creative workshops in BCM’s ColorLab art studio and Nature’s Engineers STEM makerspace: Design your own pichkari (a playful paper water blaster) and explore the science of plant-based pigments and make your own natural paint.

Tickets are $15 for general admission and include access to all day’s programs. Tickets are free for children under one year old.
