Deets: The Joy of Sake is coming back this spring! The world’s largest sake tasting outside of Japan returns to NYC on April 11 with a record showcase of 578 competition-level sakes. Eager longtime fans and excited newcomers are gearing up for the 2024 edition of the NYC event to taste the full spectrum of sake styles in the premium daiginjo, ginjo and junmai categories from every sake-brewing region in Japan, including over 360 sakes not otherwise available in the U.S.

What better way to enjoy premium sake than with deliciously creative sake-inspired appetizers from top restaurants? BONDST, Sakagura, Gugu Room, Sen Sakana, Towa, Zuma, Yopparai, Taru, Sake No Hana and the recently opened Mishik will be serving up the perfect complements as guests walk through the spacious Metropolitan Pavilion and enjoy premier sakes at their own pace.

Launched in Honolulu in 2001, The Joy of Sake first came to NYC in 2004. Twenty years later and sake popularity has been soaring in the U.S., with imports from Japan more than doubling from 2012 to 2022, according to The Joy of Sake founder Chris Pearce. “Sake's popularity is here to stay,” says Pearce. “It's now a celebration sake-lovers in New York look forward to every year.”

The Joy of Sake will take place on Thursday, April 11 from 6:30PM-9:30PM at the Metropolitan Pavilion 125 W. 18th Street, NYC.

Hint for the Average Socialite: Tickets are $130 and are available now!
