Deets: On Wednesday, October 1, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) is kicking off Breast Cancer Awareness Month by transforming Grand Central’s Vanderbilt Hall into an interactive, life-saving experience. Visitors will be invited to write postcards to a loved one or BCRF researcher, shop with BCRF corporate partners that give back, and learn more about breakthroughs in breast cancer research. Every action taken fuels the lifesaving research that’s changing the odds and outcomes for everyone facing breast cancer.
What We're Doing
- Postcard Wall: Visitors will be invited to write a message on postcards to a loved one, a researcher, or someone impacted by breast cancer to contribute to a growing display of shared stories and support.
- Educational Resources: Guests will learn more about breast cancer risk, how BCRF research is changing outcomes, what a diagnosis means, and how to get involved.
- Shop Pink Pop-Up: BCRF partners can participate in a “try before you buy” showcase to test and purchase products that support lifesaving breast cancer research.
- Photo Wall & Message: Visitors can take a photo to share to social media, and share why Breast Cancer Research is a cause they care about.
- Donation Opportunities: QR codes will be visible and present so visitors and passersby can donate to make a real time impact.
- Performance: Onco Ballet will host a special performance.
