Deets:
Taste of the Seaport, Lower Manhattan’s beloved waterfront culinary and community festival, celebrates its 15th year on Saturday, October 25 from 12-5 p.m. This dynamic event, made possible with the help of leading sponsor Seaport Entertainment Group, and contributing Lower Manhattan properties South Street Seaport Museum, NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, and Trinity Church Wall Street, brings together an all-star lineup of more than 50 of the city’s top restaurants and small businesses, live music performances headlined by Timmy Skelly, and KidZone activities for all ages. Taking place along the East River on Piers 16 and 17, the food and community festival is both a neighborhood celebration and the primary annual fundraiser for two of Lower Manhattan’s public schools: Spruce Street School (PS 397) and Peck Slip School (PS 343).

Since its humble beginnings on Fulton Street in 2010, Taste of the Seaport has grown into one of New York City’s most anticipated fall food events, uniting chefs, local business, families and supporters in a collective effort to strengthen the downtown community. Proceeds from the festival support student enrichment programs, teacher resources, and cultural opportunities throughout the year.

Tastes from over 50 A-list, acclaimed chefs and neighborhood culinary gems will be available. Highlights include Chef Andrew Carmellini’s Italian chophouse Carne Mare, the legendary Delmonico’s, Chef John Fraser’s modern French brasserie La Marchande, Helene Henderson’s fresh and seasonal Malibu Farm, Jean-George Vongerichten’s lauded The Fulton and T. Brasserie, and New York City’s only Australian Pub, Old Mates Pub, among many others. Peck Slip Social, from Taste of the Seaport founders Alex Davis and Learan Kahanov, will run the main bar. Guests will also experience a unique sampling activation from Casamigos.

Local and emerging artists will play throughout the day, culminating with headliner Timmy Skelly. Guests will hear wide ranging sounds and performances, including song and dance, acapella, choirs, and more.

A free KidZone with creative, interactive programming designed for younger guests takes place throughout Pier 16. Activities include pasta classes from Eataly, an educational experience from Spoons Across America dedicated to teaching children about healthy eating, a Complete Playground pop up, balloon animals, and much more.
