Deets: Citizens has joined The Public as the Presenting Partner of SHAKESPEARE FOR THE CITY—a spectacular summer celebration of free theater lighting up all of New York City!
SHAKESPEARE FOR THE CITY kicks off in late May with Mobile Unit’s 15th anniversary production, MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, bringing the magic of Shakespeare to all five boroughs. Then, in August, we mark the triumphant reopening of the legendary Delacorte Theater with a dazzling production of Free Shakespeare in the Park's TWELFTH NIGHT. Over Labor Day weekend, Public Works presents a concert experience of PERICLES at the awe-inspiring Cathedral of St. John the Divine, featuring over 100 New Yorkers from all five boroughs.
