Deets:
New York City has officially designated Fifth Avenue from 82nd Street to 105th Street “Museum Mile” because of the museums' vast richness and cultural diversity.

The Museum Mile Festival is a free annual event where several museums open their doors for the evening along this stretch of 5th Avenue. No cars are allowed, so the festival becomes a walker's paradise with many other attractions such as street musicians, art-related activities for children, food vendors, and more.

Hint for the Average Socialite: The doors to each museum will be open to the public for free throughout the event. Please check each museum’s website to learn more about their programming.

Free to all, no registration required! Rain or shine. There are also Kids’ Activity Guides for the little ones!
