Deets: Aesop takes great pride in this annual tradition of removing all product from their stores and filling the shelves with queer stories to amplify voices at no cost or purchase necessary to customers.

This year, the Aesop Queer Library celebrates the vibrant vocabularies crafted by the LGBTQIA2S+ communities and will showcase the power of language as both a shelter and a declaration of defiance, which paths with this year’s intention, “in other words – language as liberation.” Featured authors in this year’s Library will include the likes of Ocean Vuong, The New York Times bestseller.

A reverence for the potency of fables has defined Aesop from the start—after all, the brand takes its name from a storyteller who won freedom from bondage with his yarn-weaving abilities. In partnership with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and Penguin Random House, the Library has distributed over 100,000 books by and supporting the queer community, around the world.

Hint for the Average Socialite: This event is free and open to the public.
