Deets: New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani's inauguration will be highlighted by a block party in the famed Canyon of Heroes.

Mamdani's "2026 Inauguration Block Party" will be held Jan. 1 along the stretch of Broadway in Lower Manhattan

Mamdani will be sworn in as the city's 111th mayor on the steps of City Hall in a joint ceremony with Comptroller-elect Mark Levine and reelected Public Advocate Jumaane Williams starting at 1PM on Jan. 1, the mayor-elect's team said.

The block party will be on Broadway, between Liberty Street and Murray Street, which is adjacent to City Hall Park, from 11AM-3PM.

Hint for the Average Socialite: There will be room for tens of thousands of New Yorkers, organizers said, but anyone interested in attending has to RSVP online first. You can also watch the livestream!
